I guess I'm setting my alarm for 2am on Monday.

I'm considering this as well, but I'm conflicted about purchasing at all now that I've seen the size of the bag in proportion. Also, the top flap seems like it might be a bit cumbersome with real-world use (I'm thinking check-outs, etc.), particularly with the bag being so large. Maybe I should roll the dice to see if they come out with another version in the HM print.

Of course, with the way things have been going, I won't be able to get one of these originals, anyway!

I watched your video. I am 5 feet tall as well. I thought this bag would look huge on me but will deal with it because I like it so much. Quick question - are you able to push the zipper flap INTO the bag instead of folding it over? That is the only thing i don't like about this bag (and Dooney's in general).

I think so if this is what you mean? Actually, I think it looks super cute this way, and it makes it appear a lot smaller. The only problem is it is a bit of a trick to put it back in this position every time and then get stuff from it.

The bag is still pretty wide this way, but it does leave some room.

I don't find the flap cumbersome at all- I just didn't really fold it down all the way in the vid- It is a bit inconvenient having to make sure you fold it back down properly after every time you use it. I was worried the bag would be too big for me because I am so short, but I told myself that if any other prints come out I can always sell this one for most of what I paid for it (assuming they do a wide release of the large ones) and then buy the smaller one. However I love this bag so much I will never sell it, and I'll probably still wind up buying another size anyway!

Thanks for your continued input, magentarhps93. I hadn't thought about pushing the zipper part into the top of the bag, although that's still probably tricky for getting things in and out. And, it really doesn't do much to reduce the overall size profile which seems to have more of a satchel feel to me (I'm also small framed). But, I'd be carrying it fall/winter, so maybe with heavier clothes, etc., it might not seem as bulky (if that makes sense). How big is the front outside pocket? From the video, it doesn't look very deep. I was wondering if it would be big enough for a trifold style wallet? That could assuage my concerns about fumbling around while running errands and the like.

I just LOVE the HM print!

Well Stichrulz, I'm with you being torn between purchasing this bag or waiting to see what happens in August. I can convince myself either way lol!!
It is a darker bag and therefore meant more for the colder weather - and as I'm from Canada, a larger bag is great for throwing in my hat, mitts and scarf!!
I've decided I'll set my alarm for 2am tonight and if the bag becomes available then it was meant to be - if not, then maybe I'll wait till the end of the summer and see what comes out.

That is the rumor but nothing has been confirm, so we will just have to wait and see.

I checked around 2:30 this morning as well. So much for that formula working, I suppose. I still think this whole supply-demand issue is absurd. And, why not at least announce the intentions? After all, this isn't some top secret intellectual property concern -- it's a purse.

Pathetically, I was also up from 2:00 to 3:00, checking every few minutes. Gave my wife an IOU for this purse back early last fall when it was first announced, but continue to miss out on it...and I refuse to pay the Ebay pirates' prices (paying the regular price is hard enough to stomach, especially now that it has gone up). Thought that perhaps with a few showing up in the parks this week, there might be another early Monday morning supply online. I guess at some point maybe the floodgates will open, whether with this design or the rumored expanded line of HM-inspired options (although I'm not so sure that rumor didn't just start on this thread out of desperate hope that somebody at WDW/D&B would be reading it - ha!).

No the rumor came from the disney parks blog, although it didn't specify exactly what we should be looking for. I guess worst case scenario it means there will a large shipment of the same bag.

I just bought my purse at Mouse Gear. Very excited! 3 were put out and all sold within a minute. I heard they typically receive 5 total 1-2 times per week. 1/2 put out at opening and the other half put out at 3:00-3:30. Good luck to everyone!!!!

I received an email today that ups will be delivering a package from dooney tomorrow. Fingers crossed the bag is repaired/replaced. I sent it back because of the flaking of the picture. Hope it's either red or purple inside.

I hope they did a good job on your bag! I saw a bag with the green suede and red cotton on EBay so your are not the only one.

We went to Mousegears today and was told they had some this am. I was told to come back at 4:00 pm. I went back at 3:30 talked to a manager whom said she would take my number and call me if one came in this week. I got the call tonight around 7:00 to come and pick up my bag.

Congrats Mom Poppins! That was nice of the manager to follow through with the phone call It seems like these are the most bags we've heard about coming out in a while. I'd still like to see larger inventories, but hopefully Disney and Dooney are on the right track!!

More news in the disney blog today about haunted mansion merchandise . I'll be surprise if this doesn't mean more styles of D&B bags maybe a limited edition to celebrate the 45 years.
