I'm in the Dooney fb group now so I'm getting a lot of updates- sorry if I'm being annoying, just want to help!

There are some in Disneyland right now.

I appreciate the updates, I'm dying to get one of these bags! It's nice to know there are more at the parks, I am hoping this means more online.

How much flaking did you have on your other bag? I'm debating whether to return mine or not. I have a few spots near the bottom at all corners of the bag. Those were there when I first got the bag (or appeared very soon after I got it). Then I had a few new spots show up at the top where it folds over.

I'm so glad you didn't get a Xmas bag in return!

Mine was probably the same. It had flaking around all four corner/side of the bag. I didn't notice anything on the top.

They didn't contact me at all. I put in a note stating why I was returning it and to call me to discuss the options. They just sent me the new bag about a week after they received it.

It does - I was looking mine over and there's a good amount of flaking on the bottom that I see. This bag goes from the carpeted floor of my office to an upholstered chair in my dining room. It's not getting dragged over rough surfaces, so I don't think it's been abused by me. And it did have the flaking on the corners when I first bought it. So I'll likely send it back and see if I can get a replacement (assuming they can't fix the flaking - or it's easier to just replace them).

I bit the bullet about a week ago and bought a bag off eBay for about 100 more than what they sell for (pretax). I'm so happy to finally have it and not worry about when the will release it online again.

I did the same thing yesterday. I really wanted the bag and at this point I am happy to not wake upon the middle of the night to check Disney.com. Also, Ebay is offering 4x the Ebucks on purchases over $150 so it was a good time to commit.

I don't trust that Disney.com will ever have them back online.

Exactly!! I just figured after tax and shipping on Disney, I would have spent almost as much as I did on eBay at this point. eBay prices finally came down enough to where I thought it was fair to get it now. My bag came on Friday and I'm thrilled. Convenience tax.. Worth it to me.

True! I ordered from DS website a few weeks ago. In the excitement of finally being able to order it (and the fact that it was 2:30 AM! ) I totally missed the free shipping & Disney Visa discounts. So I ended up paying over $400. Ebay prices are now much closer to that than they were a few months ago. Congrats on the purse!

So guess what! I got my bag from the Ebay seller today and the DB plate on the front is so crooked it would be embarrassing to carry!!! I am so irritated!! What is wrong with DB? I mean really! This is a $358 bag! Plus there is black glue all over the rings on the back. I was able to scrap some off the metal but I should not have to do that.

I pulled out the registration card and there is a card with a name on it. The card says I should reference this name is there are any issues with the bag.

Do you think Dooney would fix this for me? Or should I just return it and forget the bag. So annoyed.

If the seller is smart, with the prices plummeting now that more are made, they will want to make some profit and be rid of the bag. They are likely a CM that bought a half dozen of them anyway.

Well, there are a lot of scammers. And th seller was stupid selling a high dollar item with a huge markup. Greed usually attracts bad buyers. But you had a legitimate complaint. Sending it to Dooney is your best option though.

I'm not sure I want this bag now...first it was the colour bleed liner, then flaking pattern on the corners, now crooked labels and messy glue jobs
I live in Canada so it costs a fortune to ship it as we are not eligible for free shipping so it's not so easy to just ship it back if something is wrong with the bag.

Such a bummer that happened.. Thankfully dooney is going to fix it. On another note, that's exactly who I bought my purse from on eBay.

I scored a Dooney Haunted Mansion bag an hour ago at DD.
We were in Downtown Disney for dinner tonight, I snuck over to the Co-op and found to my surprise they just got a small shipment of them in.
BUT...I was told by the cast member they will NOT be putting them out on display because they sell out too fast, you have to go to the back register and ask for one.
Total price minus DVC discount and shipping home $358
