New Guide looking for input

I our long time guide Judy K has retired . DVC called to introduce us to our new guide -- I said font bother, I would sooner take recommendations from here than trust their assignment process .

Any recommendations ?

I didn't know you could request a guide! Our original guide left - he was so good. He called us all the time and always left messages for us at our resort when we were at WDW. I don't even know his replacements name. She has never bothered to contact us beyond her obligatory first call.

IMO what difference does it make? The guides aren't allowed to give you a better price than the next guide and the only time that you need to talk to them is if you are buying direct.

We love our Guide. He's great and prompt when we call him. Always checks in on us when we are at WDW too. His name is David Miller. We have nothing but good things to say about him.

I suspect they've already assigned you a new guide and it may have been the new guide calling you to introduce themself. I wouldn't request a change if that's the case and you already have a new guide.

Our guide is Glenn Wilson. Our experience is that he's very low key. And when I took the tour, it was ONLY me. DH was at home, left it all up to me. Lots of timeshare places won't consider you unless both spouses are there. Well, he treated me with the utmost respect and gave me the full tour, along with stuff to bring home to DH so we could discuss it. That treatment alone makes me respect him. And often when we're at WDW now, he leaves us a message to say "Welcome Home".
