New Goofy Medal...

On my forum, a runner at the DL 1/2 told me a Disney Rep mentioned that the Goofy medal will be redesigned and different from the past two years

Special 15th Marathon Medal and new Gofy medal way too cool! And we get a Goofy shirt in 08.

So in the past you only received a Donald and a Mickey shirt? Now that you mention it I don't recall seeing a Goofy shirt before. That is going to be sooo excellent for you all!!! So you will then get 3 shirts? That would be too kewl.

You might want to carry drool towels with you in the days following the race. If you thought us envious before just imagine now

I think he is a secret agent sent here, by Mickey, to keep us pumped up about going to the Disney events.

Don't listen to him, I'm warning you, you will be just happily as you can be then all of a sudden the craving starts. You start twitching uncontrollably and then your on the phone or the laptop making reservations.

Run away while you can!!!!

Hey Robert - can you let slip to your merchandise buddy the need for a 'fluffy Goofy' too - I have my half marathon Donald with his little medal and sweat towel, I have my full marathon Mickey with his headband - and I really, really, really wanna Goofy..........

Agreed on the Piggy. I am now looking forward to doing their 1/2 someday but 1st a Minnie but then in 2009 what will they do? If they come out with a Springtime 1/2 I'll have to do that too even if it's a Pretty Princess. I hope they change up their date for 2009 so I can do both Disney and the Piggy.

Susan seems to recall nice polos a few years back, I think in 2005. So while putting in Helen's request could you add polos too LOL In addition to them getting our input on future races you might as well let them know we want to be consulted on merchandise too

Diane: I got a nice Goofy Tech Polo from 07. I got a 2006 marathon tech polo. Have to show up early to the expo. I am open to more requests if you include a 10% surcharge for my contact

Are they beanies? In our house they are referred to as small silent children - but yes, the little fluffy toys with the running outfits on and the marathon stamp on their foot. Have duck, have mouse - but not seen a Goofy yet, but I'm running 63km in 28 hours I want a fluffy (anyone else pitying my mother here!!!).

Hang on, just got Mickey down off the wall (yes they hang with the medals) and apparently he's a 7" Marathon Mickey Bean Bag.

I might expect them this year since they are giving all Goofy runners a 3rd Goofy shirt. They keep increasing the Goofy merchandise.

Robert, we are in line when the expo opens LOL You might located me as I step on poor unsuspecting runners ahead of me LOL (oops!) I don't recall seeing the polos this year! Maybe when Susan said she didn't see the polo she meant non-tech I know in 2005 she bought her DH a regular polo (just said Marathon Weekend). I definitely have to keep my eyes open on January 10th for any style of polo. I think I will have to wear my cotton WISH shirt for the Expo so I can be spotted and spot others this year.

OH!!! Antenna toppers! LOL Mom brought this up this morning. They need antenna toppers :-D ohohohoh and window decals! LOL I'd love a small decal for the window .... wait a second I'll just make my own LMBO I think a window cling will be made this weekend for the car I should post a photo of our OKW fridge sometime. It was covered this year with window clings of the race logos for 2005, 2006, DL 2006 and 2007.

We'll be in MGM on Thursday the 25th as soon as we drop our luggage so i can pick up a I Survived ToT just in case they didn't order us some merchandise LOL

If they don't do a Goofy for Helen we'll have to see about undressing one of the ones they do have their and seeing if there is a Goofy for sale elsewhere that we can change out into the running outfit LOL

ETA: i just checked Donald from 2007 and his clothes could be snipped off without ruining them so as long as a Goofy can be located in the same size I'm sure something could be arranged Good luck on your coming race Helen!!!!
