This is becoming a long journey, but one I plan to achieve. I am down 30 pounds and I have 20 more to go. The 30 pounds has taken since 9/11/03. I go up and down and then have a good spurt downwards. I have gone from a size 20/22 to a size 14/16. I feel I am making progress. My goal is to have the last 20 pounds off by our WDW trip at the end of August.

Curves has been great! I have lost Body Fat and pounds. I am working out about 3 times per week. I haven't worked out in years, so it feels pretty good.

Funny thing is people tell me I am looking good, but when I look in the mirror I feel I look the same. Anyone else need a NEW MIRROR? My clothes are smaller and I can see THAT, but with clothes off everything looks like it did before. Anyone else feel that way?

Vacation next week and I am not taking my WW point counter along. I am going to enjoy myself. See you all when I return!

Congratulations on earning that beautiful gold clippie! It should does look nice on you.

I can relate to looking in the mirror and seeing the same body as before, especially with no clothes on. It's a little easier when you're dressed but I know my mirror shows no mercy when I'm au naturel.

I guess that might be one good thing about losing the weight slowly. It will give our minds and eyes a chance to readjust to the new "us". I wish you continued success on your journey and have a great vacation!

rsschneck, I know exactly what you mean and was recently discussing this. I look at the size labels on my new clothes and look at the huge gaps in my closet where my old, now too big clothes used to hang, but I can't tell a difference in the mirror. the only places I notice visible differences are my legs and arms (my friends and family are getting pretty sick of me make them feel my biceps).

Congratulations on that BEAUTIFUL gold clippie!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

My mirror seems to have the same problem. The only thing that helps me combat it is comparing my measurements. I hope my mind's eye catches up with reality soon!

Congratulations!

That's the clippie I've been hoping for (for a looong time!!!!!)

Great Job. You'll be at goal in no time :)

Oh, thank goodness! I thought I was the only one seeing the "old me" in the mirror. Now that I am approaching ONEderland, the "new me" has been showing herself in the mirror a bit more. Maybe a reflection is more like a state of mind. :D Great job on the 30 lb. loss - I'm sure you look great!

Look at you! You're doing so great. You are definitely making progress and I'm happy and proud for you.

Keep this up and you will be at goal before you know it. That gorgeous gold clipart looks great on you!

Congrats on your new clippie!

Like you I have been losing a bit more slowly than some of the others, but I am hoping that this way I will keep it off. I know what you mean by looking at myself in the mirror, it is just lately that I feel that my face is slimmer, but I still gotta work on my stomach.
Enjoy yourself on your vacation!

I love all the encouragement I receive from everyone on this board!

I am hoping by loosing it more slowly that I too keep off the weight lost. If I don't I will be naked because I just went through my closet AGAIN and I am donating another box of clothes to charity!;)

I will have a great vacation, Thanks!

Way to go on your clippie, it looks great on you! You are doing a great job, keep it up. I agree, don't take the WW point counter on vacation. You can just control your portions and get some walking in while there and you'll do just fine.
