New Frozen Maelstrom ride

I saw an article that said the ride will be open early 2016....anyone have any info on that date? We are going 1st week in March, would to be able to ride it (as Maelstrom was always one of my fav's).

You can always hope.

I've seen the info as "Spring 2016."
But, narrowing it down further would be a guess.

Most speculation has it opening late April or early May, I think early March is unlikely--sorry.

1. Nobody knows, but we can GUESS that it will be a very, very in-demand Tier 1.

2. Yes. All-new Meet & Greet building going up.

Yeah - I was pretty sure it would be and that A&E would move to EPCOT. It'll definitely mess around a bit with the available FP+ for MK and with the current tier system at Epcot it's going to be really interesting if it remains where only 1 tier 1 can be selected. It could be opening up at some point during F&G too and the timing for the new Soarin' could come into play as well. This will screw up a lot of touring plans.

That's why I mentioned about only being able to select one tier 1. Either way, it should open up TT and Soarin' a bit - until the new Soarin' is in and all hell breaks loose.

I can't imagine Disney would do that, but...

I'll be surprised if they're not both Tier 1. I'd guess living with the land will probably drop off but if Eat to the Beat is a Tier 1 nothing else would surprise me. It would be a way to try and suck people into two days at EPCOT one for the ride and one for the meet and greet.

I agree totally. Would Disney ever feel that there are too many Tier 1 attractions in Epcot once Frozen opens and would they ever consider doing away with the Tiers and let folks select their 3 FP+ from all attractions???
