New Free Dining Pin!!!!

I am so frustrated!!! I never knew there was a box to check off indicating that you want to receive offers.....I've never gotten offers before and was a bit annoyed that I hadn't. Thank you to some posters here for mentioning the boxes. I checked my profile on waltdisneyworld.com and noticed I HADN'T CHECKED THE BOX :crazy2:

Anyway, it's checked now. Hopefully, I'll start to get some pincodes!

There are 3 adults and 1 junion, basically saving $130/day if use the free dining. We are in a woods view room, I think the saving on that with the 40% off is $116/day, calculated by taking $265/ night plus $25 for extra adult= $290 then * .4= $116). So, free dining would save us a little more each day, but its not valid for 2 of our days. Do you think they would let us use it for Sept 27-Oct 1 and then the 40% off on Oct 2, we check out on the 3rd? I know its only a difference of $14/day but in this economy everything helps and that would be $70 for the trip.

I heard that if you start your trip during the promotion, they will apply it to the entire ressie, even if it goes beyond the end date.

I would check it out as you might be eligible for Free Dining until the 3rd.

I rec'd a quote, TODAY, with FD for CBR, for 10 days.
I think the total was around 1800.00 for a preferred room, 1 adult, 1 child.

The Disney site, same info, for the room, same days, same people, WITHOUT dining of any kind and the price was around 2400.00.

I don;t get it...It appears the rooms w FREE DINING are cheaper, than without.
Am I just brain dead? LOL. :confused3

Did you check to see what park passes you had on the WDW site? I always have to change that as we never go to a park everyday we are there and it automatically defaults to the number of days you will be staying on property. That might be the difference.

WOW! I cannot believe Disney is already sending out free dining offers. Attendence must be very low. Normally, free dining isn't announced until April.

Yes but usually its a general public code. I don't know if in the past, for the fall free dining package, they sent out a pin for it. Makes me wonder if they are not planning the general public package. If so, I think they are nuts!

I asked her to change it (it is the 3rd time I have asked a CM to change this) so perhaps the change stuck this time. I somehow doubt it. If you really need this code, call to make sure that the proper boxes are checked or unchecked (whatever the case may be) so that you are elligible to receive these codes.

I called the other night to see if the CSR was available for our time in March with the 4/3 package. Then I checked to see if I was on no call/mail status and sure enough I was. I never requested this. The only thing I can think of is maybe in one of their many system upgrades they defaulted many to this status. Who knows? I plan to call back soon and see if it actually changed when the CM said he changed it.

I just went online and priced our June buy 4 get 3 and came up with a price of $1,822.50 with dining included.
Then went back and priced August 16 for the same amount of nights and came up with $1,790.97 with no dining because it would be free.
Savings = $31.53. Something doesn't seem right. I always thought that the rates in mid to late Aug were cheaper than June. It doesn't work out to a savings. Am I doing something wrong?

Do it again and check the tickets. When pricing the 4/3 deal it adds 7 day base tickets. When pricing a package it adds # of days with water parks and more and I think park hopper too. That could be the difference.
