New free dining offer yeaaah

Is there some rule that they can't use a code over 4 years later? Even if they that hasn't been their practice before?

Honestly folks.......... thank him for posting. Hang out and be cautiously optimistic. It will be what it is. I doubt anyone is changing flights or doing anyhthing dire before having confirmation.

I believe it's true and currently have my dialing finger in training for next Thursday morning......unless I hear about early access for Disney Visa holders.

OP...... thanks for posting!

5 more days and everyone will know if the rumor is true. I really hope it is as I know it makes it so much easier for families. I know that without an offer like that or kids play free, we would never go to Disney. Eck we are doing 2 trips this year for almost the the price of 1 thanks to all the discounts.

I was wondering if you already had your package booked before the prices went up and the free dining came out. When we call would we still receive the same price for our tickets or would we have to pay the new higher price to change the reservations??? Thanks

If you already have the reservation you can apply this code after the release to the GP and your tickets will cost the same you only will obtain Free dining :goodvibes

You doing your finger-lifts and finger push-ups? Let's get training folks!

Thankfully the appointment for my boys at the dentist isn't until Thursday afternoon..... or I'd have to change it!

LOL - I was going to post the same thing. Not trying to be a smart aleck - just making sure she had the dates right! Unless, of course, she wants the same dates & hotel that I do...then Thursday's perfect.:)

Has anyone ever called first thing in the morning when one of these discounts was offered? Are the phone lines crazy? Wondering if I should do it before I leave for work (or will I be on the phone for an hour trying to get through) or just aim to be at work when the lines open so I won't have to worry about it??

They will be very busy, but manageable. I think I was on hold for 30 minutes the last time I called in at 7 Eastern for free dining. Charge those phone batteries folks!

Yes, on a free dining thread, you are most definitely going to be in the minority.

By the way, a free dining discount saves us about $1,200.00.

I love free dining :-)

we are going Oct 2-9 and were going to stay off-site - but thinking of doing our disney days Oct 2-5 for the free dining and then moving off-site for universal and seaworld.

First trip for hubby, 5yo ds and I... any thoughts or tips?? Should I book now for 10/2-5 and then call back to add the free dining ater 8/3??

My cordless with be on the charger all night Tuesday!!! DH will leave for work at 4am, the older boy will be gone to their grandmother's, I'll have a nice, quiet house to dance around in after I apply this to my ressie!!! :cheer2::dance3:

Just no yelling so I don't wake the baby! :rolleyes1

Now, just a few days to make up my mind on the resort...... :headache:

So happy to hear that a new offer is out.:worship: (finally!) Good luck and happy planning to you all. I hope you all have a magical trip:wizard:

Aaaagh!! I'm so confused now. I booked our ADRs over a month ago but was waiting on free dining to be announced before I booked our December 10-16 trip and now things don't line up. I was planning on driving and getting to Disney the afternoon of December 10th. I have an 8:30 ADR for Tusker House on December 11th. Is there a way to work this without giving up my reservation? I haven't been to Disney in about 18 years and this is the first trip I've planned for us. (me, DH, DD4 and DS2) Help!

We have 3 kids and FD saves us a ton of money too. I definately would not have taken the kids every year without free dining. This is what lured us away from many other vacations over the years :goodvibes.

I think there must be something that I am misunderstanding. I was told a couple months ago by various people that I might as well just go ahead and book my package (since it is refundable), and then if Free Dining was offered, I could just call and add it anytime. So if my room is already booked, will there really be a huge rush to call on Aug. 3 to make sure I get free dining? Couldn't I wait a day or two for the phone calls to die down? And if I am correct about this, then why are so many people saying they are going to call first thing on Aug. 3, rather than just calling and booking a package today and adding FD later? I just want to make sure I'm not missing something. I am going Nov. 12-20, so I'm also going to have to get "room only" for my first night.
