Hi Everyone,

First, thanks to everyone that spends so much time answering all of the questions. That being said I have read through every single page of this this and don't recall seeing a definitive answer as to what time this promo might be released on August 3rd (my apologies if I missed it). I'm planning to book online and just trying to figure out if I will be able to do so before I leave for work in the morning. Any insight would be more than appreciated.

You can call as of 7:00am - as for booking online, I have seen Disney discounts uploaded to the Disney website at 6:00am and last year on the May release of fall FD (for Aug-Sept), it popped up just before 6am.
If it were me and I was trying to get it booked first thing in the morning, I would be refreshing the website from 5 am on and if nothing came up by 7am I would be on the phone....but I'm crazy like that

we are the blackout date that really really REALLY sucks, and ya....... Oct 15-22 I can't believe it, I have such crappy luck sheesh. ADR's are made, plans set in motion, flight booked and paid for moving the dates not an option for us sigh

Susan, as far as the flights, some airlines will issue you a "voucher" or "credit" if you cancel. You may, or may not be able to apply it for this trip, but possibly a different trip...(The exact thing happened to us last year).
So if you are a bit flexible on dates...maybe it could work out for you. FD represents significant savings for most fols, especially larger families!

I just wanted to say "Thanks!!!" I'll be out of town on Wednesday and would have missed it. Now I'll be up early waiting with everyone else! That is, unless a Disney Visa offer comes before Wednesday...Either way, you put us all on alert.

Sorry if this has already been asked but if you already have a reservation in the system can you just change to Free Dining online by putting in a code without having to call CS?

If not, and I have ASMo MYW w/ QSD already booked for December 14-20 should I be in a huge hurry to call on Wednesday or can I assume I am ok to change for the Free Dining when I do eventually get through? IIRC my friend's MIL waited a week or so last year at least before calling to cash in on Free Dining for Thanksgiving week and was able to with no trouble (they had previous reservations for Saratoga Springs).

Right now I just have a 10% pin on my res so FD will be a nice discount!

You would have to call to change your discount on your reservation. As for resort availability there is no way to know how many rooms have been allocated towards the FD offer especially with Disney "cutting back on their discounts". If I were you I would get on the phone first thing in the morning unless you are flexible with your resort and/or dates.

How funny/difficult is my situation. I have planned a split stay checking into Pop Century on 12/9 (thinking about adding the 8th) for a room only and checking out on 12/11... then moving to the WL on on 12/11. I am not even sure I will hassle with trying to change my reservation to include the fd. As strange as it is... when I priced it out, it will only save me $7. How hard do you all think that my move is going to be now that people are going to be doing room only just before the 11th to check in on the 11th? I was not planning to go to a park on the 11th except for MVMCP. Still, I had planned to be able to checkin in a timely manner to be able to get there.

Kinda cracks me up that I picked THE exact dates that fd looks to be released for. It was not my intent.

You could always check-out of POP in the morning - have bell services send your bags over to WL and check-in later in the day - maybe even in the evening. I don't think the late afternoon should be that busy - it's usually from 7am - 3pm that's really insane.
