We have an AP and we were down at both parks 2 weeks ago.
I noticed that the tunstyles had new finger scanners.
They had a blue hugh to them and they were kind of rubbbery to the touch. you can feel that your finger has a much better 'grip' on the pad.
over 4 days, and multiple entries in and out of the parks each day - it registered on the 1st try for both of us each time
The old pads were much smoother, and when we woulld have to wiggle or slide our finger up and down in order to get it to register. It would fail at least 3 out of every 5 tries. Of course we would get the over anxious gate attendent who would want to see ID and then rescan using our thumb or another finger (which we would forget what finger we used, and cause the ID to fail again on our next trip).
So good news for us AP holders
