What's your favorite DVC resort (inside WDW) and why?

I said the BCV for the access to Stormalong Bay. Other than that, I really think they all have their plusses and minuses.

I would say BCVs because we are going for our first visit 'home' in March

For us, it's VWL....without a single doubt! It's the themeing and the area. I love the little springs in the villa pool. I love the common area of the villas with little nooks and crannies to sit in and enjoy the fireplaces and seeing the memorabilia of Walt. The road to Ft. Wilderness is perfect for bike rides or walks in the woods. Walking around at night and staying on the beach for the Electrical light parade on the water are favorite things to do.

We have gone to the WL after checking out of other DVC's just to sit and relax on rocking chairs on one of the porches. While doing this once, I saw a bald eagle over the lake.

It speaks to my soul and refreshes me.

For us it's the BCV's, love the location! Also, Beach Club was the first on-site resort we stayed at (many years ago) and it holds special memories.

That said, I think AKV may become a new favorite. We love the theming at AKL and to us, it seems the cm's are extra special.

I voted for BCV because we own there and it's been a great experience. But I would be thrilled to stay at any of them.

I voted for OKW because I enjoy the quiet atmosphere. It is not the most conventient as far as getting to the parks, but I is very serene and restful.

gotta be OKW for its theming and jimmy buffett atmosphere. the size of the units are appreciated as well. but can i emphasize theming?! we love returning to the resort and 'chillin'!

Voted for OKW. Below is how we set them apart.

Have not been to HH (5/07 is first reservation there!). But our rankings are --

1. OKW - top DVC resort for us (tied with Poly and AKL as top WDW resorts) for style, laid back atmosphere, value, villa size and Olivias

2. BCV / VWL - very different, well executed resorts, with exceptional theming, great locations and tied to fabulous resorts/restaurants

3. VB - similar to OKW in style, very relaxing, on the beach, and not too far from Disney

4. SSR / BWV - for SSR we like the theme, location near DD, great resort to walk around and proximity to Olivias; for BWV we like the location along the "Boardwalk" and reduced point rooms

5. HH -- location too far from the Disney action puts it at bottom of our list, but are looking forward to our first visit

I voted for my home, Boardwalk, but SSR comes a very close second You should let us vote on our second favorite

I voted VWL. We own there, and have only stayed at OKW, SSR and OKW once. All other stays have been at VWL. We love the other resorts and each has its own uniqueness. But we love VWL just a bit more. Its quite dismeanor puts it over the edge for us. Course owning there makes us a bit partial

Saratoga Springs~We've only stayed at SSR so far, our home, and we fell for it last trip. We really enjoy the Sassagoula River resorts.

Depends on trip agenda and who is going.

Decor: SSR.

Location: That depends on agenda for the trip. If we are going to parks and taking kids or teens, BCV would be my choice. If going to parks and taking adult family or friends, then we like BWV. For those trips when we don't go to the parks (yes, some trips are filled with golf, Cirque du Soleil, daytripping, spring training games, etc), then we prefer SSR.

Time of year: Prefer BCV or BWV when temps are warm enough for swimming. Prefer VWL when temps are cooler.

We have never tried OKW. We will at some point, but wish they would offer some studios with 1 bed and 1 sofa-sleeper. DH and I like to sit on a sofa and don't need the extra bed.

Will certainly try VAKL when they are available. Would only stay at Contemporary Villas (if built) only for monorail access.

VWL for us... love the theming and quiet, restful atmosphere. We're headed back in just two weeks and I can't wait to sit in that beautiful lobby and soak up the atmosphere.

BWV is a close second; love the easy access to Epcot and MGM.

Voted for our "home" SSR. We've stayed there a number of times and will be back there in 29 days!! We love the walking distance to DTD and just the fact that we're nestled away from the parks to relax. We'll be trying out some of the other resorts in June but know that we'll always love staying at our "home"

While BWV is our home resort I voted for OKW. While I really do like BWV, when staying at OKW it's nice to go back to a nice quiet resort area where duing the day you see golfers on the courses and at night just the lights from the other villas. But if we go with a group we like to stay at BWV, you can't beat the location and the closeness to all the action.
