I've just been reading through the new 06/07 Brits guide to DLP and on p110 it says

".... unlike other Disney resorts, here you can get a Fastpass for all six available Fastpass rides AT ONCE.... You cannot hold more than one FP for a particular ride but at least you can get a selection of rides lined up..... Previously you could hold only ONE FP ticket at a time....."

-------------------------
Am I reading this right. I understood that DLP was the same as WDW and you could only hold one FP at a time or get a second only when the first FP window had opened.

Has anyone had experience of holding more than 2 FP at a time?

If I'm reading this right - after entering the park we could go to all the FP rides and obtain a FP for all of them at once. True????

Yip, you are reading it right! We did that on our trip at the weekend (when we kinda figured out how to take best advantage of fastpass, lol) Soon as we got in the park on Saturday, I went round the rides with fast passes and put all seven of our tickets through them, so we were able to move from one to another within a decent time span. Its right that you can only hold one pass per park ticket for, say, Space Mountain at a time, but when your allocated time slot is up, you can get another one straight away!

Thanks for this information, were only going for a few days so this is a MAJOR plus in a busy time, thanks again =]

I think it has always been like this at DLRP, unlike at the other Disney parks.

No, I remember when it used to be you could only hold one FP until the window started. I had no idea that this had changed, that's fantastic yey!! :cool1:

Don't you then run the risk of missing the time slots though? Weren't they all for roughly the same times? How strict are they at DLP over exact time slots? At WDW they will generally accept late FPs, is this the case for DLP?

I have always gone at quiet times so have never worried about FPs but will have to this yr 1st weekend in September!

During the summer months it can be hard with more FP's. When we were in DL in June you even had to wait 30 minutes with FP to ride BTM. And so we missed PP.
And in DLRP they are strict about the start time of the FP!
Once we were at BTM at 2:02pm but the watch of the CM said 1:59. And so we had to wait one minute. Even though everybody told the CM that his watch wasn't right!

I don know how they react if you are late??? :confused3

Marcus.ka "30 minutes with a Fast Pass" eeeeuuuggghhhhh!!!!

Thanks for the info and confirmation guys .... I'm going to make sure we're outside the gates for about 08:15AM in August and then try to get most of the FP attractions done in the morning. I think we'll pretty much skip Fantasyland as we don't have the kids with us on this trip. [perhaps take in some of the rides in FL if the queues aren't too long] Will be going for lunch around 11.30AM and taking it easy in the early afternoon and heading to the studios. Then will start queuing for rides in the park again when the parade starts at 4PM.

How does that sound? Any other tips can incorporate into the plan?

we find we got most of the rides done in the last hour, finding it best to stick generally to one side of the park - either fantasyland and discoveryland or adventureland and frontierland. The rides are dead at the time - if we are in FL/DL, we can manage to do the cups, snow white, pinocchia, star wars, sm2 and peter pan in the space of an hour, usually being able to do sm2 twice!

Hope that helps :)

Oh and you're dead right about taking it easy in the afternoon - there's just no point in queuing for rides at this time, just enjoy the sights and soak up the atmosphere :)

good idea get there for 8.15am - we were there at that time i think that they opened up the turnstiles at 8.20am.

it is good because even though all the lands are roped off until the park opens at 9am - you can have a walk through the arcades and have a look in some of the shops that are opening up.

have fun.
:thumbsup2

This is a picture of the FP waiting line! (Taken in January)
And when we were in the park (10.June) they stood until there! And then you need 30 minutes to get to the train! And this can/will happen during high season every day!
