New Fantasyland-Magic Kingdom Park Map

Ok... Then it's agreed!

Robo for Official Disney Park Map maker!

:thumbsup2

In my opinion, the park map does make it look a bit wimpy. I always imagined it being a bit bigger. I did see if I could find anymore info on the topic, so for more info see the link to my blog.

I'm still very excited about FLE, though!

By the way, all of these Disney blog can get confusing, but it was WDW News Today who posted this not WDWMAGIC. :) Just wanted to give 'en credit! Thanks for the update, though.

THANKS!:)

I just returned from an amazing trip to WDW with VERY little sleep all week, including one all-nighter,so I probably never would have noticed what I did!LOL:)

SORRY wdwnewstoday!!!!:):):):)

I'm sort of confused if I offended you or not. If so, I am sorry. It was nothing personal or against you.

I literally cannot believe that people are complaining about the illustrations on the maps, of all things.

I'm excited to see the official MK park map showing New Fantasyland. I wonder when new maps will be distributed showing the new attractions, etc. :]

That's what I mean about the "cartoony" little maps that Disney uses.

They just don't show you much of anything with accuracy to scale and distance.

Here's a more realistic image (though it's not as "pretty" when it shows the real rooftops, etc.)

I vote for Robo's map! :thumbsup2 The lack of scale on the WDW maps is confusing.

I like the costumes, but am surprised to see so many long sleeve, long pant combinations in Florida.

I'm glad I was able to show my kids Fantasyland before it was closed, we are so excited to see all the new attractions in Feb. Barnstormer was my son's first roller coaster, he then rode it 5 more times :) I hope I planned it right and most things will be ready by then. I'm still hoping the mine ride will be ready but it's not sounding good-I guess that will give us a reason to go back and visit soon!

Thank you for sharing this! I am going in in a little over a month and I can't wait to see all the new stuff. I'm hoping more things are opened.

I don't mind the cartooniness so much (I think it's kind of cute  ), but they aren't very good maps if you don't know where you're going.

I think the problem is the size of the maps. Ever since they cut them down by half (or more), they've been very difficult to use for newbies.

OTOH, I think that the new major addition looks quite small, insignificant and unimpressive on those "cartoony" Disney maps that they (oddly) keep producing.
I agree. While I am excited to see the new area make it onto the maps, it doesn't look very grand or exciting, LOL. I know it IS, because I've been following the construction, but if I showed it to a non-Disney-addicted relative, they wouldn't think it was anything to get excited over.

I think you're right. I prefer a bigger map that looks nicer, but then I don't really NEED maps any more. I just like to look at them when I'm NOT there, lol. ;)

Thanks OP and Robo...I used both maps to update my old one and that will help lots with my touring plans!:cool1:

Yes. Also the Pooh show building.

Good, so I am not crazy. The scale just wasnt working for me.

Sorry to say, but nope. "Toontown" will be open (aka Dumbo Circus Land) but "princessland" will open "holiday," whatever that means. Hence my need for two more trips this year! :thumbsup2
