I know this has already been posted on here but I don't want to take the time to search for it :crazy2:.
Can we buy the 7 day express tickets at the express bus stop when we walk up to use it on our first day or do we buy them some where else?

Yes, the pass can be purchased at the check-in location, but only with a credit card. The pass also can be purchased at any Disney resort concierge desk, any Guest Relations location, or any official ticket window; at those locations, the charge may be paid by credit card, gift card, cash, or charged to your Disney resort guest room account.

If you purchase at the check-in location, allow at least 10 minutes to purchase.

We purchased ours at our resort concierge desk. What surprised me is that I was able to tap my magic band to pay, but my credit card on file was immediately charged. It wasn't until I stopped by the front desk a day later to pay down my balance with Disney Gift Cards that I noticed it on the printout. If I'd known they were going to do this, I would have just paid with a gift card, but it was a small amount so not really worth worrying about.

Yes, it was the same with us. I did post about it but that's been a while ago and probably missed.
They told me when I used the MB too. Though that is probably something that varies based on the CM doing it. The one we got made a point to mention that we can use the MB to purchase but it's not going on the room charge, it's going on the card on file.

I still can not figure out why you can't use your magic band at the check-in. Don't most people not bring their stuff inside the actual parks now because of the bands? I thought that was the whole point of their ease of use.

The only device the CMs have at the check-in location is a tablet that is equipped with a place to slide a credit card. There is no place for "Mickey-to-Mickey" to charge the pass to the band. Several of the check-in locations don't even have a counter or desk - the CM just stands next to the sandwich board that advertises "Express Transportation."

However, you should be able to charge to the MB at any of the other locations previously listed. I suggest either purchasing at a Disney resort or ticket window, as Guest Relations often has long lines.

I normally pay down the hotel charges at the end of each day, using a gift card. Sometimes, they tell me that they can even back out the charges the following day. I wonder if that would work, or not. I never noticed about the Express Transportation charge not going to the room...now, I will need to check. The CM never mentioned anything about that.

If that is indeed the rule, it must have something to do with accounting. I know that you can use a gift card to pay.

That makes sense I guess. Yes, we plan to get it at check-in because we know about it. I would have to think there are so many that don't know about it and may not have a CC on them in the park if they decide to do it. And we all know it is faster to walk to the main bus hub than to wait in line at Guest Relations :D They could be losing customers.

I did express transportation on my trip in December. Didn't care for it because they didn't give out a bus schedule. Do they have bus departure times for each park? That's the only way it would be worth it for me to do it again.

Is this still the sched? If it is set could we get it on the first page for easy reference? Thank you!
I wrote that in January and we used the service again from Feb 28th - March 6th and it was still the schedule....if the OP would like to post it on the front page I think that would be great / handy for new users.

one other note from our March trip on our 7th day the CM was having trouble with 'finding' it on our bands (after he scanned one) until I mentioned that it was our 7th day then he had to do something special to find it - not sure why but thought it was worth a mention. I think it is some kind of flaw with the system and he had to go into a different mode.....?

is the AK stop some where different now then it was at the end of last month? is so where is it now compare to where it was?

Sorry if this has been answered but I do not feel like reading all 77 pages to see.

check in place is now next to Dawa Bar, the corner right before you go to FOTLK theater. The bus itself stops at the same place

Has anyone used this from MK to DHS? I am wondering if it is faster than taking the monorail to EPCOT and then boat to DHS? We want to watch the Star Wars fireworks!

No doubt it will be faster than doing all that.
You would:
Monorail or ferry back to TTC
Monorail from TTC to Epcot
Walk entire length of Epcot
Boat from Epcot to DHS
You know you can also just bus straight from MK to DHS from the regular bus loop.
But the express will be faster because you will avoid the bag check and tapstile

This is an easy answer. There is no time or method of going from park to park that is faster than the Express Bus.
Even if you were to walk out of the park, up to the bus stop, get on a bus and have that bus depart at the next minute, it would be slower than the express bus. For no reason other than you don't have to walk through the turnstiles and security
