Happily ever after then catch the 9:30 bus to AK? No problem. Made it with six minutes to spare. Bus left Right on time. All seats taken.

Wow...this is GREAT info! I didn't think there would be enough time to watch HEA and get to AK. Where is the bus stop in MK? And where do you get off in AK?

It's outside the exit from Buzz Lightyear, between it and where you meet Buzz Lightyear
It drops you off at the exit from Lion King

As for getting there, you won't be able to if you are clear on the other side of the hub but if you watch from someone nearish to Tomorrow Land side you can. We made it from the Plaza viewing area outside the Plaza Restaurant to the bus stop on the Sunday night of Memorial Weekend (so pretty crowded night). Had we been any further away, even over by Casey's, we could not have made it

Tonight I try for the world series of Express bus. Star Wars fireworks to AK. I'll need the force on my side.

New wrinkle using the Express bus. Rain started just after I hopped on the bus. Heavy rain while heading for AK. They switched up and dropped me at the front gate outside security. Made for a quick walk all the way across AK to make it to festival of the lion king.

Your issue is they will not run to Epcot if its closed for regular hours. Since that means 9:00 most days I doubt you can do F! and them make an Epcot bus

Was it just rain or was there lightening?

I'm not really happy with this rain issue. I'd be willing to sit on a bus for an extra 1/2 hr than to be dropped off and drowned.

Another "pro tip"

Leave extra time when leaving from AK. It's easily the longest walk. I hit the desk 5min before and they had to hold the bus for me until 2min after it was due to leave. I won't count on them always being willing to do that.

I checked in with the Express bus hosts at Studios. They were somewhat pessimistic about my chances of making it to any bus after the Star Wars fireworks. And by "somewhat pessimistic" I mean they flat out said it's not possible. Challenge accepted.

Apparently, there is a new option for Express Transportation, $59 for the summer. I asked at the Epcot ticket window this morning about a discount for Annual Passholders and was told there is no discount for annual passholders, but there is a new option for them. I didn't think to ask when it expires, but for locals it may be a good option.

The option you are talking about is a special discounted offer for AP holders. It's been posted about and linked in the first thread.

Achievement unlocked.

I had a good view from between the two pillars and did not leave until after the final firework popped.

Bus departed 9:50pm exactly.

I really wish they would delay these last buses to let more people make the bus.

10:06 - Arrive MK

Rode Buzzlightyear

Now on 10:30pm bus to AK having already completed visiting and doing attractions in all four Parks in one day.

Just for the record there is a 11pm bus from MK to AK when AK closes at 11pm

10:51pm back in AK. Probably not the fastest route from studios to AK.

AngiTN- I, too, wish I was local. DH said he would gladly pay that much for a week, lol. On a somewhat related note...DH is finally getting into the AP spirit. He wants to plan another long trip for this December, so that will make three trips in a year (probably a total of 20 park days)!

I asked specifically about it. The staff that works the Express Bus have said that they do not run to any park operating in EMH hours.

Bummer. That would have been so helpful, but it's good to know in advance that it won't work. This info, combined with the knowledge that they won't run during thunderstorms, will probably stop us from using this service in August.
