I'd love for you guys to share ideas of new experiences that I should check out on my next trip. This year we became annual pass holders, and have been to Disneyland twice (once in April and again in early September). My next trip is a solo (!!!) birthday trip the second weekend in December.

I'm really open to anything. So far I have considered having a spa treatment of some sorts at the Grand Californian (unable to stay there, but I'd like to see it), taking a guided tour of Disneyland (I've got to figure out who I would contact for this), and drinking hot chocolate while I watch the fireworks.

I've unfortunately got a ton of dietary restrictions, which limits a lot of fun snacking or dining that I would love to try.

Any must try experiences or fun stuff that you can recommend? While I'll still ride a lot of rides, I think that my focus will be more on just being at Disneyland and taking the time to explore (we usually just ride ride ride).

Thanks for any pointers!

How exciting!! I can recommend the Walk in Walts Footsteps tour, it was really great. You get lunch included and a Walt Pin at the end of the tour :goodvibes Also, if you haven't checked out World of Colour I would say get a dining package and experience it from the preferred seating.

I don't know if your dietary restrictions will put the nix on this idea, but it's GREAT fun to go port-wine-and-chocolate tasting at the Golden Vine (or wherever it's currently located, which is on one of the patios next to Wine Country Trattoria). It's a great deal and lots of fun. You get to try 3 types of port and each is paired with a different Ghirardelli chocolate. Then you can mix and match.

If you prefer, you can do port and cheese tasting or just do wine tasting. The wine specialist will give you interesting info about each one. Be sure to ask to try the Magicale while you're there!!

For even more fun, go on Tower of Terror after your wine tasting

Have you been to the animation acadamy and done the drawing class? I'd like to do that. Sounds like a great opportunity to relax and see Aladdin.

I'd definitely look into some of the entertainment options, like the little shows that happen on the streets. That's the one thing that I've never really explored much.

You mentioned having a spa treatment at GCH, have you tried getting a makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique? My DW, DD4, and I will be going in 11 days (so excited!!!) to DLR, and I've made an appointment for both of my princesses to have their hair, makeup, and nails done. We've never done it before, but it looks so neat, we just had to try it this trip.

Ooooo! I missed some of this!! Here's a GREAT thing to do: sign up for the Holiday Tour! You will get a fun tour around DL, looking at the decorations and learning their history; you get to sing carols with the others in your group; you get to try a sample of fudge; you get to go to the front of the line and ride HMH, IASWH, and sometimes the train; and finally, you get to have a perfect front (padded) seat to watch the holiday parade while drinking cocoa (in a keepsake travel mug)! You get a Mickey gingerbread cookie, too. They will then give you a commemorative pin at the end of the parade. It's super fun!! My sister and I go every year now.
