New Epcot Movies?

I had heard that they were going to be updating some of the 360 degree movies. Does anyone know if this has happened in the last couple of years?

I don't think any have been replaced in the last couple of years, but I have heard that the movie in China was being redone.

Wish they'd add seats while they're at it (swivel seats, of course) !!!

China is getting a new movie in May (the last performance of the current one will be quite soon, something around two weeks from now).

There were some pretty strong rumors that indicated Canada would be getting a new film as well this year, but things have been very quiet about this lately. We can only wait and see.

It's nice to see the China movie updated though - I liked the old one, but it was getting kinda old.

i gotta ditto ya on the seats thing. I get that you want to see the entire area, but by the time i reach either canada or china (depending on what side i enter WS) my dogs are barking and standing thru the movie is a bugger.

The footage used on El Rio de Tiempo appears to have been old even when Epcot opened, some of it obviously dates to the 1960's.

I find the ride to be very pleasant, but that footage needs serious help.

ya know - the footage in "the donkey boat ride" as my son refers to it, is so old that i have grown to love it in a quarky kind of way.

after our first day ever to Epcot: "so patty, what was your favorite part of today? The donkey boat ride momma! can we go again tomorrow?"

I could handle new footage as long as they kept that song. I get that in my head (like now) and i am humming it all day with a smile on my face.
