New Epcot Food and Wine Premium Package for onsite guests only

And it is still hot this time of year in Orlando.

VERY hot still. Yesterday it was 90+ around 1PM and humidity near 100%. The fact that there is little shade in some areas and no seating is really lame.

Maybe they are counting on the majority of the premium members visiting at night?

Before I bought this package, I was trying to do some math in my head as to whether it was worth it. johnsgrl's photo helps me price some of the individual elements a little better.

Sogno d’Italia Chianti wine: $16.95 (Based on the price indicated in the DisneyParks blog when they announced this wine would be sold at the 2011 F&W Festival.)
Wine glass: $7.50 (based on set of 4 F&W Festival wine tumblers price of about $30.00)
Tote Bag: $9.00 (Based on approximate price of F&W Festival tote bag, which is not the same design.)
Magic Band: $24.95 (Based on the price of the limited edition Haunted Mansion Magic Band.)
Gift Card: $50.00
Late Nights Live Admission: $79.00
F&W Festival Truffles: $10.00 (Based on a WAG)

Total: $197.40

Approximate cost for the "VIP" access pass: $1.60 (No wonder they couldn't afford chairs, umbrellas, or air conditioning.)

Ok, I feel a little better with the purchase. Even if I wouldn't have spent the money on everything in the gift bag, it looks like $199 per person is a reasonable price.

I think a better comparison is what would you pay for this stuff

I am fine with the wine and glass. No way would I pay $25 for a Tragic Band :rotfl2: And I have a feeling that I am not that impressed with $79 for the party. For $75 I have tickets to the Wine and Dine post race party, no free food but I get rides and the entire park. Or I could do MNSSHP. Once again an entire park.

So for me the premium areas needed to be just that....

But they close at 8 :confused3

If anyone is going to the LIVE! party tomorrow I would to hear a review. Also, if anyone has an underage person in their group I would love to know what they have as a replacement for the wine and wineglass. :)

I'm going. I'll try and remember to leave a review!

I'm seeing that this is only available Monday - Thursday. I am arriving Thursday and departing on Sunday. I am assuming that I would only be able to use my credentials on Thursday? That's slightly irritating. :headache:

Yes, you would only be able to use your credentials on Thursday. There are no premium areas available on Fridays-Sundays. You would need to factor that into your decision to purchase the package.

Here now and really enjoying it!! Loud music, performers out in the streets, and we each get a card with six tokens on you can snap off and redeem for food or drink at the booths. One of the sox tokens is for a limited cocktail in a souvenir glowtini glass. Right now it's buzzing!

So there's three separate areas for music. A backstage area with a swing band. A techno dj by the Canada live music stage and finally a live guitarist by le cellier. All very different options. The guitarist was our fave. He was awesome. Did classic rock and also country hits.
Then there are six kiosks that remain open and you can choose what you want to eat. I'd go again next year, and for me it now doesn't seem overpriced.

Thank you for reporting! Sounds like a lot of fun!

I had a great time!

The party started at approximately 9:45 pm - just enough time to allow me to walk from watching Illuminations from Italy (using my Disney Chase wristband) to the Showcase Plaza, where the party was held.

All booths between Ireland and Hawaii were open…besides the live music, there would occasionally be live street dancers.

The souvenir glass is cool - I received mine at the Refreshment Port stand. It had some sort of a Cosmos in it - light, but refreshing.

The most popular stand was Canada (go figure), but the line moved quickly, as it was pretty easy to pull off one of the "tabs" on our lanyard to "pay" for the food/drink.

I thought the magic band was going to have the $50 attached to it. I see a separate gift card in the picture that was posted. Is the Magic band just a normal one we can attach our park ticket to?

Yes - the F&W Magic Band is just another magic band that you can clone. It does NOT have the $50 attached to it. You receive one of the wristlet gift cards for $50.

is the area blocked off? How do they prevent guests who are doing the Wind Down from walking through there?

All booths located between Ireland and Hawaii were open? Including the Dessert & Champagne booth? Were any of your six food tokens redeemable for the Dom Perignon?

Does this mean that the Scotland booth was not available? On the map, it appears to be grouped in that same area, but just beyond the Hawaii booth.

As for the souvenir glass, is there only one type of mixed beverage (cosmo type drink?) available, or do different booths offer different flavors?

Sounds like a good time! Thanks for the reviews! :thumbsup2

You can only access the areas and make purchases if you have the lanyard on which will have the days date on. And no, Scotland was not available. There were stragglers leaving the park who we saw trying to buy food at the booths, but they were denied unless they could show a lanyard. Was the same story with trying to access the backstage music area. No lanyard = no entry
