New England Meet - THIS COMING WEEKEND - 9/26!!

We had some great New England Representation on the Call in Show.. hope you al make the meet!!

Just found this thread and am super excited - I've been on the lookout for a Boston/New England Disney Meet so count me in!!!

I say we go for the early train- like meet at 8am and those who can make it do that and then lunch- those who can't do lunch then afternoon train- that way we are all eating together but those with young kids can be on the road home after lunch in the afternoon as they start to get cranky- my two cents-looking forward to this!!

I'll 2nd liking AM for the train.

Hi. I don't post too much on this board. Count me in - Judith and Drew (9).

I'll be there-Hedy, party of one.

I can pretty much guarantee that we cannot do AM for anything. I have been named head coach of DD#1's soccer team, and at the moment I don't even have an assistant coach! So 1pm is probably the earliest reasonable time we can get anywhere.

So its sounding more like the meet may have to divide into two - the AM train and the PM train people, with lunch in between?

Okay, so we should set a lunch time that works for most and then people can decide a.m. or p.m. for the tour. I'll throw out 1pm at Fire and Ice for lunch. Please adjust accordingly. I'm leaning toward a.m. then F&I.

I'm either taking the Worcester/Framingham commuter rail or driving to Alewife and taking the Red Line to South Station. Anybody else.

Approximately 5 weeks and counting down.

We would be taking the red line from Alewife.

Personally I like the 1PM lunch time Bill has suggested. This allows those that have other AM late morning commitments the time to join us for lunch.

I was originally planning to take the commuter rail right from town here and then change to south station. Yesterday we visited a friend at Tufts New England Medical Center and the South Station terminal was right there at the same exit. So now I might take the car. We'll see.

I'm taking the commuter rail from Kingston to South Station.

Yippee! No driving through Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan!

Hi....I am still on the maybe list. Have there been any times confirmed yet? :goodvibes

DH and I would probably be able to make the morning train and possibly the lunch too if it is at 1:00. :flower3:

Newburyport is beautiful and has a lot of pretty shops and restaurants. I believe there is a restaurant that has a place for the kids to dine while adults eat in a separate dining room. Just a thought.

Other suggestions:

Plymouth, MA
Somewhere on Cape Cod
Salem, MA.
Burlington mall at the Rainforest Cafe

????

Hi everyone! I went to a meet at the Rain Forest Cafe in Burlington a few years back. We had a great time! Met wonderful people and the atmosphere was so Disneyish!!! I would definitely go back there for a meet!!!

Groan.

It turns out Val & I are going to have to miss this event. I had forgotten I've already got a commitment for both days that weekend.

Mindy, Val may be going without me. The two of you should plan on talking sometime in the next couple of weeks.

I can't make this one I will be away but I would love to try to get to one. Is there a list I can be put on?
