New England floods!!

Just checking on my fellow Disney'ers from New England with regards to our flooding situation and hoping all are okay. After the flooded basement we had two weeks ago didn't need this!
Stared to flood on Monday morning so ran to the firehouse and got the spare pump glad I did the pump at the bulkhead backed up due to our yard becoming a lake and had no where for the water to go. Disconnected that line and jerryrigged a firehose on it and had two pumps running. I then was up all night Tuesday using my shopvac for the water seeping in under the floor and finished up Wednesday at 5am.
Got some good sleep last night and just checked basement and all looks good no other damage. I can't believe we had over nine inches of rain it's crazy I hope April is dry for a while!!
Our backyard as of 8am Tuesday morning. It did get just a little too close for comfort!!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Just a word of advice on pumping a fully flooded basement - DON'T. If your basement is completely submerged, meaning water is surrounding your home, let your sump pump empty you out.
I have watched many foundations cave in from the pressure of the soil against it. This is basic science (and I stink at science ). The ground surrounding your home after a flood is very heavy and the water table is very high. There is pressure pushing on your foundation. The water, inside your basement, is pushing it back. If you quickly remove that water, there is no more inside pressure. If your foundation even has a minor crack - CRASH- a portion of that wall caves in.

My DH always lets the sump pump handle it. If the sump pump cannot handle it, either because it's stopped functioning or has become clogged, he will buy a second pump and run the hose out the front door into the street. He then hooks it up to a generator and let's it run. He drops it on the first step. When that's clear he drops it to the second step, and so on and so on. Knock wood, we've been through 3 floods and our foundation is intact.
During our first flood the fire company went around pumping out basements quickly. Over 50 homes lost their foundations.
Our first flood we had over 15 feet of water in my home, second was 12 feet, this past flood only 8. All 3 times we've had fully submerged basements.

I hope everyone is doing okay. Flooding seriously sucks!

We have been very very lucky. Our entire backyard is a lake, with ducks and geese, but our basement is dry.
