New England Cars 2 Meet to benefit the Power of 10 -WE RAISED $10,000

Just wondering where the Podcast crew were flying into, Boston, Providence, Manchester or Hartford? If it's Providence, Federal Hill has the best Italian restaurants in the Northeast. Not just my opinion a couple of years back a Boston magazine ran a poll and Providence won. I could recommend a few in Providence. If it's Boston check our this link Phantom Gourmet
They know all the best places eat in the Greater Boston area. Everything from fine dining to burgers and fries to the best deserts. Hope you guys have a great trip see you all next week.

I also recommend a great and popular restaurant in Cranston, Twin Oaks. Great food, I really think Pete would like it! The wait time can be a while, but if you go in after 8 or 9 o'clock, it's not too bad.

Oh Twin Oaks... my dad's favorite restaurant. My sister did him well when she married a guy who was in a band with one of the waiters and Dad never had to wait for a table again!

Seriously though, if you like Veal Parm, that is the place to go.

I loooooooove Twin Oaks....especially the veal parm!
(TIP: If you slip the maitre d' a little something, you'd be amazed how fast your name moves up that list. But you didn't hear it from me...:rolleyes1)

I heard that it was illegal to donate money from the Boston meet to the lox challenge. :X

I used to have a friend in Springfield so I have flown into BDL many times. :)

Our favorite place to eat in Springfield is Max's Tavern. It's on the river front by the Basketball Hall of Fame. There is a Cold Stone Creamery right next door too!

Love Twin Oaks, grew up at there and I'm only a mile from The Oaks. But Pete and Walter could have that true Italian experiences they didn't get with Adventures by Disney right on Federal Hill at Depasquale Square at Venda or Contantino's or Cafe Dolce Vita

While Twin Oaks is certainly a RI institution, it's not on my list of top Italian restaurants in the state. I've always thought of it as more of a quantity vs. quality place. If you're going to send peeps to Cranston (instead of Federal Hill) for an Italian place, I'd choose Campanella's on Oaklawn Ave or The Big Cheese on Reservoir Ave. for a reasonably priced, casual, neighborhood red sauce place.

But I say they should do a Federal Hill pizza tasting with Caserta's (doughy, Sicilian grease-bombs) and Bob & Timmy's (really good grilled pizzas; Adam Richman was just there filming this week).

ETA:
But for the true RI experience, you need to go for some gaggers (NY System Weiners - pronounced "gagguhz") and a coffee milk. Top it off by stopping for a Del's frozen lemonade.

Thinking about this event is really making me miss Bob :sad1:

He would have loved being back in New England with all us Disers so much :sad2:

I was thinking about this earlier. When I first met Bob he still lived in MA and had his cable access Disney show...he would have been in heaven over this event
