New DVC Ticket Deal

DH and I are going in November. He has a 10 day non expiring ticket already added to our MDE and our FP's are all made.can I buy him one of these tickets and add it to our MDE without messing up the FP (I would like to use this ticket instead of the 10 day) TIA
yes, we did this just last week...works fine.

So I'm still reading that the MEMBER must pick up the tickets, which is the way it's always been. SO you can gift the tickets to your family but you still have to physically be there at the gate with them.

A PP wanted to let her DD and friend pick up the tickets, I don't think this would work.

Yes, would be nice having the park hopper, but this 4 day, 1 park ticket WORKS GREAT for our trip!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Just spoke with MS and you can purchase up to EIGHT 4 day, 1 park tickets per membership and they must be used by May 24, 2014!

I was told with tax it is $211.94 and this same ticket with tax for non DVC members is $313.11! LOVE THE SAVINGS of $101.17 per ticket for those with shorter trips who "can live without park hopper"! YAY!!!!:yay::woohoo:

Still wondering about the value of these tickets in regard to upgrading to AP. Does the purchase price go towards the upgrade or the value of the ticket go towards the upgrade. My grandson may go with us in May so thinking of getting him a ticket. Guess I'll be watching how this pans out. We are going in October and again in November so could pick them up either trip.

I don't think it specifically said that she would let her DD pick them up, only use them for spring break without the Member. So IF the member had a trip earlier (perhaps even without kids), they could buy the tickets then and give them to her daughter to use on Spring break. The Member only needs to be there at the time of purchase, not the time of use.

I was led to believe that you use a credit card to purchase up to 8 tickets over the phone and that is it!
Am I incorrect? :confused3 Once it is purchased, isn't it like any other ticket purchased that the person to whom you are "gifting" the ticket to, would input the number from the ticket into MDE????

THANKS for any clarification which might save me a phone call!:)

It's not so much the no hopper that bothers me, it's that you can only go to MK, Epcot, AK, DHS once each. Not three times at Epcot and once at MK.

Or did I miss something?

I was told one park per day.:goodvibes

Do you know if the ticketholder just inputs the number from the ticket into MDE so they can be added to your magicband???????:confused3

THANKS if anyone knows this!:goodvibes

I checked the dvc site and it says this.....

The ticket is valid for one-day one-park admission to each of the 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks per day (parks may not be repeated).

I understood this means 1 day MK, 1 day Epcot, etc.

I just called MS, and I'm still confused.

We are possibly going to SSR end of January, and have friends that are all ready booked at FW for the whole month of January. We would love to purchase them these tickets, and would be purchasing them for ourselves if we get to go (husband has new job, don't know about the time off work yet). I realize the 14 days first use expiration, but if they wanted to use them before we got there could they pick the tickets up at will call?

MS said no, must show iD to pick them up. Which I would understand, but do they need to be picked up? What happens if we use the confirmation number, add them to MDE and our magic bands, and never get the physical tickets? Would they work?

The same ticket is not available for non-members. The regular 4 day MYW can be used for your choice of parks. You don't get 1 day in each of the parks, you could do 2 days MK, 2 days Epcot with a regular MYW. Plus they can be upgraded for park hopping & water parks. It's great if you want to spend one day in each park but it's not as flexible as the regular ticket.

On phone now...MS, when you purchase tickets over phone with credit card,
will be given confirmation # that you enter into MDE to make fastpass choices. THEN, you MUST GO TO GUEST RELATIONS at one of the parks before ENTERING for the first day of intended use within the 14 days, give confirmation #, and tickets will be VALIDATED and linked to MB. Keep hard ticket for records was the advice I was given. MUST present photo id, and DVC member card. MB will not work for entry UNTIL physical tickets are VALIDATED at Guest Relations. Wow, really need a masters in Disney Stuff! :rotfl::rotfl::)::yes::

same old same old for picking up DVC discounted tickets at the parks.

that is not what I was told

see post #50 this thread

Disney will not price-bridge their own tickets towards an upgrade. 3rd party after 1 day's usage still works as far as I know.

I have no idea of the 'retail' value of these special tickets, never even knew they offered this type of ticket. IMO can't really equate them to a 4 day MYW since there is the one-park-only rule

I have never picked up tickets at Disney before. Always had them in advance of our trips. So, if I buy these for my parents and link them to my MDE account - I still need to go where before entering the park? Guest services outside of the park? Or ticket booth? My parents will be with us. The rest of the family will have different tickets since we are staying longer and want to park hop.

I didn't read through the entire thread so I apologize if this was stated previously. This is very similar to the deal in place this year for FL resident's. No PH and $179 for 3 days or $199 for 4 days with a slight additional discount through AAA. You could do add ons with those though but there are blackout dates similar to Seasonal Passes. They expire 6 months after use for the FL resident deal.

I realize this, but what you were told is contradictory to everything else about purchasing DVC discounted tickets. I believe what the CM was implying was you can set up the FP+ and link to MDE in advance with confirmation #. Or, if you pick up your physical tickets earlier in the day and then leave the tickets for the kids. But at some point you would have to show your DVC id to pick up those tickets. Just like most other times when Disney releases something new they have failed to educate CMs.

Yes, GS outside the park. You will receive a confirmation that you will need, along with your DVC card and ID and you will receive the actual tickets at that time. You can go to GS at any time, it does not have to be right before entering. For example you could go the evening before so you don't have to worry about crowds when you want to get right in the park.

But does the Fl pass include no repeats? Can you use those tickets to go to MK one day and Epcot three days?
