New DVC Resorts AKV, BLT

Hi,

I would like to know what do you think about the best time to buy in the newest DVC resorts, the AKV and the BLT. In many places the best time to buy is the presale or at this time the resorts are not yet completed, because as they get our money before we could used it we could get a big deal on the price. But what about Disney, use the DVC to do the same? or do they to lower prices and make offers as the opening date arrives?

What do you suggest for somebody who wants to buy BLT? should I buy now or should I wait for more incentives or offers? has anyone here received offers in BLT that reduces the $112 per point?

You can definitely get better deals than what Disney offers point-value wise on the resale market. But if you're looking for one of the new resorts that aren't completed yet, resales are slim right now--there's some for AKV, but none for BLT (that I've seen, anyway).

You have to weigh out the incentives right now to decide which path is right for you. If you want BLT, they just released a new incentive--you buy in at 160 minimum points, you get a free set of 160 developer points to be used in the next 12 mths (or some are saying they have to be used by Oct. 3rd, don't know which is accurate), and you get $5 off a point, making points $107 each. This is a pretty good incentive.

Some predict there may be more incentives after the new year. But there's no way to know for sure, so if you like the current incentives, buy it now. You'll kick yourself later if you don't and they lower the amount of incentives (like they did for AKV). But if you don't mind waiting it out, it may or may not pay off!

I was thinking on that, however it could be good to hear the stories of the other resorts, how people get offer for oldest resorts and which was the best incentive they have had or hear...
