New DVC presentation

Vacation with Character started the week of June 25th. We never had a chance to go for the presentation but did go see the Aulani model rooms. Great rooms! Will talk about them in another thread.
They said this presentation you will learn about new park experiences and cruise line voyages.

They said last about 2 hours and started around 2:00. CM told us that they also gave away a gift card to AMC theater instead of the fastpasses from previous presentations.
Sounds interesting but we never made it, was curious if anybody has done this yet and how they liked it.

My wife and I went on Tuesday the 28th. Honestly, we were not impressed. I think the Dis ruined us, everything they mentioned at our presentation we had heard about over and over on the boards. They did say it was the first presentation they were trying to work out the kinks though. The whole thing didn't last 2 hours, the presentation was 30 minutes or so. After this is where they have pics with the characters, we skipped that, but that might take a while. Then 10-20 minutes to tour the Aulani rooms and AKL setup, then they take you to the refreshments and have areas set up if you want to talk to a guide about an add on. They gave us a $40 AMC gift card which was great. We saw Cars 2 in 3D at DTD one of the rainy days we were there.

Now, if you are interested in adding on points, I'd go, they had a bunch of incentives for Aulani. We just went under contract for a house, so an add on is not in our immediate future.

Where is this? Is it everyday? Do you have to sign up for it somewhere (a DVC desk at any resort?) How did you find out about it?

We signed up for the tour at our resort.

Well I guess it is another best kept secret. We were at SSR from 6/21 thru 6/28 and noticed as sign as we left to go home by the main entrance but no explaination of really what it was, so if it was for DVC members they never gave us any information about it? but glad to hear that we missed nothing.

When Bay lake Towers opened up, the presentation was over the top. This one not so much. BLT presentation they gave away a trip, had a great party afterwards. The presentation that we saw tonight was so, so. I'm not complaining just saying that they must be like the rest of us, and keeping there belt on nice and tight. They did have, decent incentive's on hawaii though, at least we thought. ex. 150 pts. purchase was 102$ point + 500 visa card. 200 pts. 100pt. + 700 visa card. Hope this helps someone..
