New DVC Merchandise

I, too, am very unenthusiastic about the new logo. Just about broke my heart to see pictures of the new logo on the Welcome Home sign at OKW.... We have been owners there for almost 20 years and the old logo WAS DVCto me.

Anyway, I called Merchandise Guest Services today to see if I could buy the new DVC license plate holder as a Valentine's gift. CM said they did not have any yet for sale, even though it was shown on the page with the other new Logo wear.

Looks like DH won't be getting on for V-day!

some of the new stuff looked pretty good in person but some looked terrible. Just not what I'd ever wear.

I was able to pick up a couple adult t's, 3 child t's (future DVC member) and a DVC blanket all with the old logo for about 70% off at SSR. Plus I was able to get an additional 20% off with my PAP. So if you want old logo stuff, it is still around, just really limited styles/sizes.

When I was there last week, I picked up a luggage tag, a pin, a tote bag, and a backpack. I will be using these items on our next trip (except for the pin which will go right in with our other collectable pins) . I too am glad that they are coming out with more merchandise. I am really excited that they are coming out with resort specific things. I took a look at the SSR merchandise but didn't buy any, hopefully when we are at BLT in Sept they will have merchandise for there that will be worth getting.

Boy do I agree with you...what a dud just like the new logo...and isn't that key thing from the annual pass log...I remember that being on their merchandise a few years back...guess they are trying to save money and recycling...

I think it's great that they are coming out with some new stuff. I would really like to see some nice quality, resort specific, items. There is a market not being filled, IMO.

We went by Boardwalk, as well, and there were some Boardwalk shirts, as well as some other DVC items like a baseball cap, license plate frame and white ladies sweatshirt jacket. At the BC gift shop, I didn't see any BC-specific items, nor really any new DVC items, but they did have some DVC inventory. There were a few resort-specific items at the Polynesian, too.

We looked last week and didn't see any AKV merch at all. The pin was in a set of 4. You couldn't buy it alone.
That OKW stuff is really cute! THey need the same for the other resorts.

Saw it in person when we were there a few weeks ago.

UGH! I didn't!!! the ladies at the CR store said "Did you see the new DVC merch? We just got it in." And well, I still managed to miss it. pooh! I'm going to e-mail!
I LOVE the OKW stuff! Might have to stop by on our next visit.

Where would you find DVC stuff? Do they sell it through the DVC members site? It's not just at WDW is it? We were just down there at BLT, which of course does not have any retail. I would have gone to one of the other DVC resorts if I had thought about it.

For BLT, you'd have to go over to the CR. They have some things there, but very little. They are always hidden in the shops the DVC units are located at even though not IN the DVC buildings themselves. Although I have yet to stay at pure DVC place my OKW. I bet it's not "hidden" there. I stopped into SSR a few years back to see what they had and they had some things in their TINY store too.

Sometimes you can find items on eBay too.

I didn't see anything DVC at CR. No way am I paying double on ebay. I am glad they have some new DVC merchandise but if I cant buy it what good is it? Why they don't have a store set up on the DVC site is beyond my comprehension. Not everyone makes it to WDW every year so another outlet to buy this stuff would be nice.
