We are planning our first trip "home" to the VWL. We have many questions...

-Do they provide cups, bowls, plates, silverware and toasters in the kitchenetts?

-Is there any better room location to request (close to pool, food, bus, boat)?

-Is there really room for a pack-n-play crib in the studio with the sleeper sofa open?

-Is lunch at the Whispering Canon as FUN as dinner?

Thanks in advance for you help!

Drinking Glasses and coffee mugs are glass you'll get four of each. Bowls and plates are plastic coated paper (one time use) if you run out just ask for more. Cutlery is plastic and again you can request more. These paper items are also available in the fast food place if necessary. You will have a icrowave, coffee pot, iron and board. Dish detergent and dish towels paper towels and napkins are all included. If you will be pulling out the sofa bed, the pak-n-play will need to be opened up between the closet and the bathroom or in front of the doorway. It may fit if you move the table, but it will be tight. Really didn't think many rooms would be bad, but I would watch out for the room closest to the laundry room because the laundry room with only two machienes to wash in gets pretty heavy traffic. Any of those ground floors don't really have a view. Request upper floor water view.
I've never tried Whispering Canyon (maybe next trip) but it did seem more high strung at dinner time tahn lunch time when I was in the main lobby. Have fun, I don't get back home to VWL until Easter!:)

We stayed in Sept and had a toaster in the kitchenette. The pack and play should fit ok between the pullout and the wall. You probably will not be able to get to the balcony, though. There wasn't anything between the small table and the balcony door in our room. It looked kind of odd being so blank. Now that I think about it, it is probably and empty corner for the pack and play.

You can move things around in the studio (chairs, little table) easily and the pack and play will fit easily!!!!!!!!!! As for a room request...we have stayed at VWL twice now and I have got to say that it is by far the quietest hotel/resort we have EVER stayed in. NEVER did we hear people in the hall or doors slamming and this last trip we were right next door to the guest laundry and vending on the first floor and we didn't hear a thing!!!!!!!! I really believe that no matter what room you get you will love--

Enjoy!

Laura

While you can request more plates, bowls, etc; there may now be charge for this service.

Hi IDONTKNOW,

Boy are you right about the quitude of the VWL!
We've stayed at OKW and had noisy upstairs/nextdoor neighbors:eek:
But nary a peep can be heard of others while staying at the VWL.

Here's hoping that the BCV have the same qualities:) :D :p :smooth:
