New DVC Incentive !!!

check with your rep. I know you can add on 50 but my rep was saying something about the buyback and financing being different.

It's me again, I was excited that I just went along with everything my rep said (and bought more than I planned) but now the math doesn't add-up. If I buy 150 HH points and sell back with the $15 per pt. credit, don't I only put down $270 (to make my 20%). She came up with $1260 which I can't figure for the life of me. Next time I call, I will have a calculator in hand.

I know I can call Monday and check, but now I am getting restless. Either way it is a great deal but $270 is much easier to swallow. (More spending money for next month's trip:p )

Thanks
Sandy

I have absolutely no willpower when it comes to DVC! But I'm doing the add-on happy dance!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Anyone know the specifics for Vero?

Sandy,
It seems like I remember my guide saying a few months back that Florida requires you to put at least 10% down even if Disney is buying back part of the points. At one time the buyback from Disney could reduce the downpayment, but not now. If the points are $84 and you are buying 150, then the total is $12,600 and you have to pay 10% of this price. Disney will add their amount of $1500 or $2250 if it is HH to the down payment, not the purchase price. Hope this helps.

I just told DH about this and he told me NO! He said we haven't even been home yet and I want to do ANOTHER add-on! Well, I told him that he will have to pay the difference when we go home for the first time in June and points cost more money! ;)
