New Dvc Guide

Our guide who sold us our original BCV points is gone! His name is Hassan Jahanmiry. A couple of weeks ago we received a phone call from "Larissa" from DVC, checking in with us to see how we are getting along as members. The recent DVC e-mail we received yesterday was signed Larissa Pendergrast...anyone know what happened to Hassan --- He was great to our kids when we signed up at the DVC center that used to be on the Boardwalk.

thanks --I'm annoyed that we did not get any advanced notice from DVC and our file was assigned to Larissa - who sounds suspiciously like the Barbie Doll from Toy Story 2 - (no offense Larissa - if you're surfing the Disboards) -- okay then, bye, bye, bye, bye --- my face hurts from smiling....

How strange... I see all these posts about people and their guides... and the post with 800 replies from people listing who their guide is... we haven't heard from ours or anyone at DVC since we closed on our add-on... 12 years ago. All we get is the form letters that tell us the price is going to go up if we don't hurry and add points now...member magic.... and the notices of annual meetings and dues paid. Never any personal contact at all.

Likewise. Our Guide is Ken Bradshaw and we have not heard a whisper from him since our purchase in 2003

Nothing from ours, either ... Kim Moore. We bought in 2003, and we didn't get a welcome call from him on our first visit with points like some people. All we get are the company emails and mailings.

Truly, we don't need to hear from our guides unless we need them to add points or ask a question. Once I bought my points, I did have a few questions that my guide was very helpful with BUT I didn't have to hear from him until I decided to add on. I have to say that when I call him, even if he's out of the office, I get a call by the end of that day. My guide (BYRON) is very good like that... AND.... when I add on, I expect he will still be there as he's been.

Truly, we don't need to hear from our guides unless we need them to add points or ask a question. Once I bought my points, I did have a few questions that my guide was very helpful with BUT I didn't have to hear from him until I decided to add on. I have to say that when I call him, even if he's out of the office, I get a call by the end of that day. My guide (BYRON) is very good like that... AND.... when I add on, I expect he will still be there as he's been.

My guide was Karen Guyder and except for the initial sale and our addons, we've only heard from her through form letters. I don't expect anything else, however if a call came, it would be a nice surprise, even if it were only a keep in touch maybe sell more points call. As far as whether she'll still be there when I decide to buy more points, I have no expectations. How she comes and goes is her personal choice, and I'll just deal with another guide if she's gone. It's business.
