NEW Donuts at Disneyland

I don't know anything about French beignets or if they're different from what you'd get in Louisiana, but the ones at RB's in DTD are pretty much exactly like the ones you'd get at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans (which I think pretty much anyone would agree is the gold standard). And very close to Disneyland ;)

I really wish someone could explain to me why anyone likes Mickey beignets when there are real, 100000x better-tasting beignets just a short walk away at Ralph Brennan's in DTD :P

Is it just the Mickey shape? Because as a Louisiana native, to me they are awful and I just can't eat them.

That said, I went to DL on Sunday and I really wanted one of these donuts and by the time I was there around noon they were already all gone! I checked back a few times before I migrated over to DCA around 3pm and they never had more :(

Dd had one of the donuts you didn't get on Sunday morning....sorry! It was really good, but if it is any consolation we needed two of the souvenir mugs also and they wouldn't ring up so I had to wait in THE longest line later to get them. Very frustrating.

And we agree....we chose RB beignets over Mickey ones. We did the donut this time instead, but February we will be all about the beignets! We do also get several sides of bacon to share....you know, gotta have some protein also! Haha

Thanks for the review. I have a crazy sweet tooth, so I'm excited to try them!

I dunno, I LOVE LOVE LOVE donuts, but I can get at least 3 at Voodoo for that price.

I LOOOOOVE Donuts! I may have to try some of these on the next trips. One thing I wish they'd do is something I had at Blizzard Beach at WDW. It was mini-donuts covered in sugar and a little cinnamon. I think it came with a cup of white or chocolate glaze, too. Now THAT is something I'd spend a lot of money on. I can smell them right now!

that looks amazing! we can dream they'll bring these to DL, right?

I agree with this statement. I've been to the French Quarter, and when I get the beignets at Jazz Kitchen/Express, they take me back. Perfectly done.
