I was not aware of the free sitting service. Shula's here we come!!

Just called the S/D and added our extra nite!!:hyper:

Doing the "wave" (like on the Swan building)!!
:thewave:

My DD6 loves Camp Dolphin! We take her there every single trip to WDW, sometimes 2 & 3 times on a trip. And definitely take advantage of the 2 hours free, Shuls'a would be a great spot for you and DH!

I recommend making a ressie for Camp Dolphin, at times it can be full, so it is best to be sure. When you make the ressie, inform them you will be dining at Shula's (or Blue Zoo, etc.). Camp Dolphin is a small club ... they do crafts, can watch videos, and play computer games. Besides going to dinner, they also make a trip down the hall to the arcade. I have found the CM's at Camp Dolphin to be excellent.

I bet your DS5 will have a great time and I know you and your DH will enjoy your dinner!:D

THe dolphin fountain has onion rings? OH my! The day we went to EPCOT Dh went on Mission space...... lets just say our day ended at Mission space *DS and I were both fine but DH can't do twirly rides* We all went back to the lodge, with DS and I going up to the lounge. We ended up with this huge craving for onion rings and no where to get them! I was almost about to do the bus to MGM, the boat to B and C. I would have done the Dolphin fountain in a heartbeat! No wait and shorter boat ride!

This is sad... DH sick in bed in our room, and the two of us up in the lounge discussing onion rings with the concierge desk! We ended up just staying around the lodge that night and getting a bite at Mara.

I haven't been to Shula's, Donnaleah, but I've heard nothing but good things about the restaurant! If you go to Palio, you must order the veal... its a sorority necessity!

I have never seen Mickey donuts! I would love to know where they can be found! My iced mocha place at MGM left. I am now on the lookout for a new iced mocha fix!

Room wave to all! Its Friday!
Debbie:wave2:

Just as I start my pre-summer diet, we start talking about onion rings!! (How many carbs??) Everything is a trade off... LOL! I'm trying to trade-off about 20!) Popping over to remind about the 8 PM chat on our Magical Gatherings Planner. Mouseteacher is now set.... jgates how about you? Dreamflight have you downloaded yet? We'll find out tonight and see how it goes!

Don't forget your sorority bev filled with your fave bev (diet in my case!) ;)

Thanks to all for the VERY helpful information!!

KelliR-Will definitely keep Palio's veal in mind. Sounds delicious!!

Donna:wave2:

Donna~We ate at Palio's last July and truly loved it. The decor, service and food was wonderful.

Hi, Kelli!! :wave2: Memories...our DD loved Camp Dolphin when she was younger as well. Now, we joke about sending her there for an eve! :teeth: We do the same thing as we board the monorail *(take small children by the hand) as DH always GRABS her hand!! :hyper:

DD is at the Jr./Sr. Prom...and DH is working O/T. I'm alone with my thoughts...at the keyboard. ::yes:: It's a relaxing and cool eve, and my mind wanders to WDW and of experiences we'll share this summer. :sunny:

I bought ANNUAL PASSES to U. Studios yesterday! Since we always go there before WDW each summer, I bought the 2~years for the price of one! What a great deal. These do not expire until 6/30/06. ;)

I saw my SPA in Bora Bora on the cover of my Spafinder Magazine! check it out at www.starwoodtahiti.com
It's my NEXT destination! ::yes::

ZW~ My prayers are with your family.......

sarahsmom73~Oh, sometimes we buy these as we are heading out for the afternoon! We take them to the boat area, and indulge in them! They are incredibly FRESH and CRISP! I tried them last time, with a White chocolate GODIVA LIQUOR milkshake from the fountain as well...Mmmmm. :D

DonnaLeah~HOORAY on your EXTRA EVE!! :jumping1: I always find the planning process almost as exciting as the vacation itself! :teeth:

mouseteacher & Disbug...~:wave2:

Any idea as to WHERE to find the MICKEY doughnuts? I for one, love the tiny hot sugared doughnut holes they sell at the waterparks! Yummm....I can easily eat a dozen myself!

TTFN...DF99 :wave2:

That's it! We have been home 10 days and already I can't stand it!!! I HAVE to get back to the Dolphin! I don't think I cans stand it until 4/2006!!!! I've got the new secret stash already started! Wouldn't that just freak DH out if I said, pack a bag! We are headed to the Dolphin!::yes::

You guys are a bad influence on me!!!:teeth:

I know what you mean, Sarahsmom!! It was within a month of coming back in February that I started planning our next trip in August. We loved the Swan and now we are going to try the Dolphin!! We usually go to WDW every 2 years not TWICE in the SAME year!!!

I haven't posted in a while so hello to everyone.:wave2:

Mouseteacher~Hope your trip to Boston was nice! Aren't we having beautiful weather?? I felt like we were on summer vacation instead of just April vacation. You are so lucky getting the two weeks instead of just one!

DF~I hope things are going better for you. It is so hard losing a pet.

Mom Poppins~Glad to hear that Baby Kirk is doing well.

Disbug~I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy using my mug. My whole family teases me that I am addicted to it. It makes me smile when I use it!!

Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Joanne

:wave2: Hi, Joanne. Yes, I did enjoy our vacation but now it has come to an end. Our convention week was terrific (although the weather was terrible for those visiting from out of state) and my stay at the Sheraton was fabulous--- a great upgrade to a corner room on the 27th floor. Thanks, spg! There was a plaque on the door that said "Starwood Preferred Guest Room". How cool was that!

sarahsmom~ you are officially hooked!!! :teeth: Of course, we are all in the same boat --- scheming for our next trip immediately upon returning from a current one. The S/D teacher rate and the spg perks have kept me coming back on a yearly basis instead of every other year. :cheer2:

Just thought I'd come clean.....I'm guilty of a secret stash too! :D

Okay.....here it goes, my first post over at the "Resorts" thread. We have stayed off site and been VERY HAPPY with that over the past few years. (Haven't stayed onsite since our honeymoon in 1992). That said, I am considering an on-site stay for our next visit (hopefully in 2005, maybe not until 2006, as we were just there 3 months ago). Could you all tell me what is so "special" about the Swan/Dolphin resorts? Location? Room size? Price? We did consider staying at POR this past January, but price won out and we stayed off-site again. This is a great chance for you all to start "bragging" about why you love these resorts so much. Convert me!! .............................P

Okay, here goes!

1. LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! You can't beat being so close to MGM Studios and EPCOT. It is divine!

2. Service: Out of this world! The CM's here are on a mission... to make sure you enjoy your stay!

3. Restaurants: OMG! You will gain 10 lbs if you do it right!

4. FUN! The Boardwalk is nearby .... you can walk to ESPN club or JellyRolls... How about a little Karaoke at Kimono's?

5. Value! The price of a moderate for a Deluxe Hotel! Especially if you use Teacher, Nurse, or Gov't rate. Specials for Florida Residents, SPG points can be accrued and used for Free nights or meals!

6. Luxury! These hotels have the world famous heavenly beds! You will NOT want to get up in the morning!

7. The Grotto Pool complex is open 24/7.

Okay... those are my 7! Next poster please!

pjlla~WELCOME!! :wave2: There are just TOO many things about the Swan/Dolphin for me to mention. But...topping the list would be:

*LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION...
*24-hour POOL!
*Late Check-out
*SPG program...where you EARN pts. while staying on Dis. Prop
*HEAVENLY BEDS
*Superior service and amenities
*Oatmeal soap
*theming and views
*top-rated world restaurant under the same roof
*LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
*Discounts are offered for Nurses, teachers and Gov't workers...
*Awesome SUITES!
*Chicken noodle soup in Tubbies...
*Etc. Etc. Etc.....
::yes::

Disbug~We posted at the SAME TIME!**Note to PETE: PM box is not BIG ENOUGH for DF99!! :wave2:

Mouseteacher~"Too Quiet" was never something I expected to DREAD. The house is so quiet without MAC...you can hear a pin drop. The worse time is in the am, when DH & DD have left for school, and I head to my office to get some "work" done. He was always there...with me. My company...the one whom listened to my chatter (so I wasn't talking to the walls....) And the one whom was there for a walk in the sunshine...and to share an afternoon lunch. Empty....seems like a understatement. Vaccuous...is more appropriate. :( Thank you, for understanding.

MOM POPPINS~Wow...you would never know you were the "single mom" in College! You are all so alike, with similar features, and your DH certainly LOOKS like your eldest DD~! ::yes:: What a fabulous testament to your DH. He's a KEEPER, and a great father & husband. Sometimes, you have to walk through the "fire" to get to the shelter. Don't worry about telling the sibs...when the time is right, you'll think of something. :goodvibes My thoughts and prayers are still with Baby Kirk. Hope he is getting stronger with each new day.

Zurgswife~Thanks for taking the time to offer an insider tip and info on the MK PARK OPENING treat. We will be sure to give it a try this summer. My heart is still with you and your DM & DF.

GAIL...what's the SECRET STASH?!? (LOL) :teeth:

jmcross~Thanks! ;)

sarahsmom73~OR...a very GOOD INFLUENCE...depending on "HOW" you view it! :hyper:

:lovestruc :grouphug: To all my sisters and brothers in the room!

TTFN...DF99 :wave2:

zeesecretstashizinzeesecretswisssororitybankaccount.................

All in all, I could go right now and not be too bad off. Have 2 nites @ RoyalPacific and 9 nights at Swan that are not paid, along with the rental car. That is somewhat managable with a few more trips to ebay. I just have to get ambitious enough to actually list something - Did list my kellogkash certificates tonite. They are going pretty well on ebay right now so hopefully it will be enough for a couple of meals.

My secret stash of cash that can only be used for Disney trips! :teeth:

Actually our last trip was a surprise to DH but for a different reason. It was the grand prize for a contest my job was sponsoring in 2001. The contest ran from April through August but I said nothing to him about it until I was fairly confident we'd be going.....and far enough in advance so he could arrange time off from work. One night in early August I sat down (with a big smile) and said "I've been keeping something from you!!!!"
