I have called to confirm TTC & I don't dare call the Dolphin again (lest I be given an unflattering label )
So what have I forgotten??

DF~ glad to hear your temp is normal. We ended our day with an early release and started the Easter long weekend. Starting on Monday is the big Boston convention, so school is closed so that the faculty can attend. Our actual spring vacation starts on April 19. STAYING ON TOPIC: I will be sleeping in a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper next week...but wish it were located at the Swan rather than the Sheraton Boston.

Put stuff in suitcases into dorm room drawers.. what is this? NO UNDERWEAR and NO SOCKS! Drive to walmart down the street, buy said items, and enough snack food for an army... plus an additional fan since it is summer and there is no AC in the dorms.

How was he going to survive?

DF-- tell me more about the 60 minutes deal....
I have the laptop with the cable connector. Don't have to do dialup then right? just plug it in and you are on? Is that right? THat is what I thought.....
If I just use the phone to call home (if the internet time is not added on to the 60 minutes local access) I would have 60 minutes talk time right????
I am soooo confused. Too many things running in the pea brain right now

I forgot to mention that while debating the laptop/no laptop for my trip, my laptop blew up! Well, didn't blow up, but I left it alone in my room for 20 minutes while I was in the office. I came back to a blank screen. Rebooted.... no operating system. Rebooted... no operating system... ARGHHHH! I just set up all of my classes again and had two weeks worth of grades in them! I feel a reformat coming on and I don't want to deal with that! Needless to say, I'll be laptopless for vacation! <----no don't get any ideas...LOL

OK, Swan Dolphin info needed, please! Tell me everything about Fresh! It is worth the trip for lunch if we're in MGM or EPCOT?

Hey DF - Glad to see you are up and about and moderately with us!

I'm still puzzled on the phone deal also. DS just stayed under 60 minutes when he talked - so we could actually reconnect for an add'l 60 minutes if we stopped inbetween? And if you are using ethernet for the laptop it would not count towards the 60 minutes? SEE - I CAN STAY ON TOPIC!!!

May not be on this weekend - off to Dubuque to spend Saturday grazing through the unique stores in Galena IL. (If you watched Field of Dreams, the old, old street where they go to look for the Dr in his office was filmed in downtown Galena). Saturday eve grazing thru the slots in the Casino!!, and Sunday to take my DS in Madison out for Easter dinner! So if I don't talk to you, we'll see you Monday!

: We'll be leaving in about 12 hours!!! By the way, today I showed DH my "lime green" ribbon. He said, "That's not lime green, the firetrucks at work are lime green. Your ribbon is mint!" Oh well, SwanDolphin fans --- if you see someone walking around with a mint ribbon, please say hello.

Hockeymom, Yes, try FRESH for lunch. They have a wonderful lunch buffet. You can also order off the menu if you're not that hungry in the middle of the day. The breakfest buffet is our favorite. Have a good time at WDW and AKL!

I used my laptop at the Dolphin for 16 days this past Jan and never disconnected! DD and I went over 1 hour all the time. The Dolphin boast that they have unlimited high speed internet hookup included in the resort fee. Maybe DF is talking about dialup and not high speed internet hookup? Anyway I didn't get billed for going over so hope this info helps.

I was in the ER with DH last night!! He had a kidney stone causing all kinds of pain! He is fine now but WOW, those kidney stones are extremely painful!! They had to give him a shot of morphine to control it! I was scared to death as he is never sick and invisible to me! What a wake up call!

I didn't realize that scene from Field of Dreams was filmed in Galena! How cool. I haven't been there for a few years, but love shopping there and staying in B&B.

Muffy, I thought I read 'unlimited' high speed internet access. That is why I was confused. I will ask at check in and probably just stay connected too. Hope your DH passed the stone and has no further problems (everyone says it is the closest a man can ever come to labor! LOL). I know they are quite painful.

Debbie, hope you can retrieve some of what was in your laptop! How terrible.

Look at how big the housing for the Haunted Mansion. Kind of makes me think about the relationship between internet retailers and their wholesaler partners. The store’s inventory looks deep but it is all a façade’!

LOL.... ~~ ME TOO!! This is why I only permit myself "TWO" direct calls per year...


...Well, maybe one more if my DOGGIE opts to call for me!

...OR I call from a Car-Phone, one which is not traceable!

Maybe if I have to make one more call...I'll wait until I'm in the hospital, and call from their line...

Of course...this "set-up" could also prove highly effective in making additional calls to the Dolphin with "questions" about a MYRIAD of things...("er...ummm...I'm calling to check on the *SO & SO* reservation. No, I'm NOT them, but I have all their info...and was thinking of sending some kind of special surprise gift to their room. So...I wanted to be SURE of the TYPE of accomodation they have secured at the Dolphin/Swan"..etc.)

*Thanks to all of you for the "feel~better" sentiments! I'm doing much better with the increased doseage of the SLOW FE (& the DIS!!).

**Muffy...hope your DH is feeling better. My DH had stones about 7 years ago...and they gave him enough morphine to down a clydesdale! Ugh...he went home and slept for about 12 hours. Very...very painful (for me too...to watch him in such agony).

RobMax>> Dinner at Palio, a stroll through the grounds, laying in a hammock near the "beach". The entire S/D area is gorgeous! (as you know) Have them try for a king turret room at the Dolphin! Just remind them that they could be seen by others! (I admit it, I am obsessed by that thread, but it wouldn't have stuck to me so much had it not disappeared one day!)

My first day off has been sad but glorious! I am a bit sad as DD left for Spring break at 5 this morning. I am not sure I am supposed to be at the age to have a child going to Florida on her own! We gave the last set of lectures last night, along with copies of everything and her own insurance card. She is over 18 so we don't have to worry about signing paperwork. On the glorious side..... I have over three days to get ready for our trip! I have never had so much time! I plan on doing most of the packing Saturday and Monday, so that we may enjoy Easter w/o packing thoughts.

Back to DD thoughts. You dont know how badly I want to call her cell phone now and say.... "I'll pay for everyone, just get to Disney when we're going to be there!" I know she still wouldn't take me up on it, nor do I have the funds, but it keeps on running through my head!

Congrats on CL, Disfanrn! Hope to see you Tuesday morning! Remember to book your seats 24 hours out on the website! I never even print out the other stuff, but I know my seats are saved and I check in normally when I arrive.

Thanks for the Fresh information, Muffy! Breakfast might also work, if we do a late breakfast on one of our EE mornings. (if we can manage an EE morning!) Even with concierge I have the safari breakfast booked, and am waiting to see on CRT.

egads....two a YEAR? I was calling twice a DAY while I was waiting for my nights to open up....that's what they told me to do.....maybe it was an elaborate scheme by the management to ruin my permanent file so they wouldn't have to deal with me any more :::sniff sniff:::

We'll have a laptop with us in July and plan to use it to track the daily thunderstorms we'll experience. We don't want to be heading down to the pool only to have to head right back inside because a storm is starting!

I'm doing well with PS requests....we've gotten all we wanted and at the timeframe we wanted!!!

I also wanted to wish a nice Easter to everyone here who celebrates it.
