TexasErin~The place has been renovated...but most of the theme remained the same. The bedding is different (heavenly beds), and the furniture has also been changed. The walls and pictures, lighting, etc., has also been upgraded. You will be pleasantly surprised if you have not been there in a while...it's quite an improvement.

Waving to the rest of the room!~ I'm still SO excited about my car rentals all being completed! Whew...such a relief. Now, I'm going to buy our premium annual passes this week, just to have them in advance.

sorry, haven't been around much. Had two fashion shows this weekend and I've got to plan another one this week, because that show is the day after I come back from WDW!

How 'bought a RED Diablo!! Anyone want to sign-up early for a RIDE with moi?!? IT's only a two-seater!

I nearly "bought" this car last month from the FEDS (private auction). But, I was in L.A., and someone outbid me by a couple of $$$. It won't ever happen again. The next one they have up for auction is a black one, bullet-proof glass, all sorts of extras, tint, etc. It's got MY NAME written all over it! Besides...I already have a vintage RED stingray in the garage. So...a Black or Yello Diablo is just what I need!

THe red of the car brings out the burgandy red in the well appointed Swan lobby!

Valet service is available at both the Swan and Dolphin resorts, you can pull up in anything, including a red Diablo!

After a long drive in your sparkling red Diablo, you can rest your weary head on a down pillow in your heavenly bed!

Black tie event? Drive your red Diablo over to the Swan and Dolphin where they can cater everything from a small sit down dinner for 2, to a party for 300!

So many suites, so little time... come bring your Diablo to us to pamper while you vacation your troubles away!

We've used Tiffany, Your Ride, and FL Tours. We were happy with all of them, but FL Tours has been my favorite. The Happy Limo and Your Ride folks got in a prolonged childish squabble on these boards, which was enough to make me stop using either of them. Tiffany doesn't have rear facing infant seats, so that brings us to FL Tours. We've always had great service from them. One down side, though, is that they don't take credit cards. But a *big* plus for FL Tours is that they're sponsors of the DIS Boards!

Thanks to all who responded regarding my question of towncar services and rental cars. Again, you all have had an impact in our decision

We are going to go with a towncar service. I'm thinking the rental car could be more hassle and the towncar service definitely adds a touch of elegance.

Piglette - I was thinking about FL tours for that very reason. (Sponsoring this board, not the rear facing infant seat! My youngest is 15!) Yet not many people commented on them - I think you were the only one. This board is a very valuable tool, and I would like to support those who sponsor it, so we will definitly look into FL tours.

I just hit post 1000! WOO HOOO!

I know I have emailed Andy at Fla tours and was very happy with the responses he gave. I can't remember why I picked happy limo for our first trip over fla tours, but I know it wasn't anything major and more like just picking one from two good choices. I think you'll do fine with fla tours, and will love not having your car sit in the lot! We both drive a ton every day, and getting rid of a car just makes it seem that much more like a vacation to us.

Did I mention I hit post 1000?! LOL I am home today, and about to leave for Detroit where DS will be playing a game at Joe Louis Arena. Its a big day for him, as many relatives who don't normally see him play will be there, also! (even his sister!) He was also picked for the shootout during the actual Wings game! Go Danny!

Thanks...for the rescue...and for tying my RED DIABLO into the Dolphin/Swan theme!! I could also use the car to:

*Offer rides to/from MGM/Epcot, DTD, etc. ~ to all the sisters!

*Slap-on a magnetic decal for mouseteacher...BOSTON "RED" SOX!

* Follow the bus from the Dolphin to the MK, AK, DTD, etc.~and take note of the EXACT mileage/time!

* Pull-up in Valet just to see who RUNS/FIGHTS for the car/keys/tip! (More than Mike Schmidt...in the Dolphin in-room 24/7 informational T.V. production).

*Sit and REV the engine, to see how long it takes security, etc. to respond and ask me to "shut it down." (LOL).

* Pull alongside a limo...to ask the driver for some "Grey Poupon!"

*SELLTICKETSTOSITINITANDHAVEAPHOTOTAKENWITHTHEMONEYGOINGDIRECTLYINTOTHESDSFUNDFORALLOFUSTORESERVETHEPRESIDENTIALSUITEAMONGOTHERTHINGSIMSUREDISBUGWILLAPPROVEOFTHISFUNDRAISER!

*Check-out the TOP SPEED of the Florida Law Enforcement personnel!

* Offer the Cm at the YC Marina area a "trade" for Breathless!

* Drive to the RENTAL RETURN area of the National car rental @ MCO, and ask the associate where to RETURN this RED CAR I picked-up earlier?!?

*Finally...drive to West Palm Beach...and BLEND-IN!

Hi to all my sorority sisters

Believe it or not, I still do not know if we are going to get to the S/D next week!

The good news is that we have not canceled either. This ones going to come down to the wire...it's just incredible to imagine. Since the kids think we're not going it would end up being like a surprise trip (for me too!).

DH's Dad has offered to cover for DH if we want to go...so there is definitely some Pixie dust flying around in Texas right now. I have not packed anything. I am afraid it might jinx me and get the kids hopes up too much.

Is there a way to "stealth pack"?

DH knew how bad I wanted to go when I suggested he could fly to save time off, while I drove down with the 3 kiddies. That alone showed him my Disney desperation!

On topic:

Is it possible to get a Pizza at Tubbies take out and still have it be hot by the time you get back to the room at the Swan? Or would room service deliver the pizza? I also wish we knew if anyone has gotten refillable mugs filled at the pool bar. I would definitely get one if that was possible. Thanks girls (and boys).

About the Diablo...I'd like to challenge you to a drag race...My DH's car only has about 1200hp.

Another idea to use the car: Park it on National's Emerald Aisle just to see everyone's reaction!

BT~ I've checked out Blue Zoo's menu and it looks very good. Todd English has his flagship restaurants-Olives and Figs- here in Charlestown but I have never eaten there. I, too, want to try Blue Zoo.

Bambi Tamby, I've tried Bluezoo! Wow, what a great restaurant! From the waitstaff to the menu it was first class. MT, I haven't tried Olives or his restaurant at Mohegan Sun either. BlueZoo was incredible though. We ordered the Cantonese Lobster, Dancing fish (rotisserie) and rotisserie chicken. We shared the warm chocolate cake and caramel pecan cake. Everything was excellent. We also ate at Tchop Chop and Emerils flagship Universal restaurant. Bluezoo was just as good as Emerils two restuarants. Bluezoo is on our must do list from now on! It is a wonderful addition to the Dolphin.

Yes...with the doors locked and the PANIC button in hand!~As soon as they TOUCH the HANDLE....I push the button and the alarm BLARES!!

*As for the DRAG RACE....is it for the PINK SLIP?!? Here's the BLACK Diablo I'm going to park in the Garage. This SE30 JOTA only has 785BHP @ 7300 RPM (stock engine only has 600) , but it has a few other surprises (chips) under the hood! Lets GO! (LOL)...As long as YOU drive your DH's car...and I drive mine!

Muffy~What do you recommend at Tchop Chop? I love the place too...and his namesake location at Citywalk.

MT~I've read nothing but RAVE reviews on his Charlestown spot...and all the others. He varies his menu, for those "repeats" (like I tend to be!). Cantonese Lobster....Mmmmm. My mouth is watering already!
