YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN DON'T YOU!!!! Pretty soon we will be 'missing' 17 pages of threads. (Sorry for those of you too young to grasp this-but hopefully you saw that movie out a couple of years ago! It will just 'disappear' and never been seen again!!!

After going back and forth for two weeks -camera in stock-camera out of stock etc. I decided to order it today - property tax bill came - only went up $67 and I have enough saved so I didn't need to use my profit check today for that - so I go to buy.com tonite and it is AGAIN out of stock. I swear I am not meant to get that stinking camera.

Have never stayed at the SD but am going to be a Dolphin in APRIL!!! Yippeeee. Do have a question about the internet access there. I have a laptop and am considering bringing it along to keep in touch with family mostly. What kind of hookup does the room have?

Morning all. Things are quite calm at our house, finally. Knock on wood, please. The dinners the teachers are sending from school are a godsend. (and they are too... so wonderful.)

I am packing today! I'm bringing my laptop and wondering if I need to pack the cords? It is Windows XP so it should hook up easily. I'm also bringing my new digital camera. With a little luck I will be posting pictures from PBH and the Dolphin. Can't wait!

Does the Dolphin have a special checkin desk for Platinum Starwood members? When we checked in last year we were in a long slow line. We were Plat SPG last year too but it was our first visit to the Dolphin. Just wondering if there is a way to avoid a line if there is one?

Disbug, Am I suppose to check with the front desk at the Swan or the Dolphin for the journal? I have a small surprise ready to include and look forward to this journal. I just want to be sure how to get my hands on it, LOL!

Can't help you with the check in question, sorry. Sort of remember DF mentioning a special desk for P. SPG, not sure.

Good for you... glad you are able to pack. I am still mailing, wrapping, etc! Wish I could mail myself to WDW right now! As for SPG, I believe at the front Check-In desk, one of the "windows" should have a sign that says "Starwood Preffered Guests". If that line is shorter, get in that line! Last time I was there it was to the left on that long reservation desk.

I am most comfortable with the Swan Concierge Desk since it is the smaller of the two resorts, but it will come down to what the S/D management wants. I am going to talk to James (at the Dolphin) about best plan, etc... so, check front desk for messages. I will be there the 26th and should have the box in place (cross fingers) by the 27th.

School's out for me, too!!!

There is a separate Starwood Preferred Guest check-in kiosk at the Dokphin but not at the Swan. At the Swan it is at the far end of the regular check-in counter.

There is a concierge counter in the lobby of the Swan on the way to the elevators. This where you can get help for PS and other stuff.

Muffy~ LOL - when Disbug left a little present for me at the Swan check-in last July, I had to ask if there was something for "mouseteacher" from 'Disbug".

I was laughing as I said to the CMs, please don't think this is a joke but I believe there is something for me under the name of Mouseteacher. The CMs were quite good natured and thought our DISing sounded like fun when I explained how I got that name.

Btw, Disbug, I am trying to be patient - really I am but I am like a child waiting for Christmas morning. I just thought of something ---I hope you mailed it to the address on my check and not the school address on the envelope because I won't be back at school until after the holidays.

I have school on Monday AND Tuesday, all day. We will probably be the only schools in the country in school those days. Last year we had to go back Jan. 2 and 3 or 3 and 4, can't remember, but it was a Th and F after New Years. I hate that. They do it so that our calendar year ends in May. And that only works when we have no snow days.
Hey, mouseteacher, I got my mug today. I love it. DH got a book from some friends in the mail too, so we are ready to settle in for a cozy evening.

ozzie, you're not alone - my DS has school on Monday and Tuesday, too. And, I, too, had to return to school last year on the Thursday and Friday after New Year's Day.

Seriously - I am so tired I can't even remember the answer to this question. You need to have the add'l jack on the laptop - slightly bigger than the modem jack. Ethernet? What the heck is it called? Cord looks similar to a phone cord but the ends are larger if I remember right. I do know I haven't even checked my laptop yet to see if it has it!!! It is near the phone plug-in I believe and we were told it was VERY easy to hook up. Did I get this close to right?

Just a quick question -- I am SPG Gold. We have a stay booked at the Swan March 1-6 (then moving to HRH Universal). Is 4:00pm checkout guaranteed, or do I need to do something special to get it?

mainebound I believe you need to request it (in advance?). Normal check out is when they expect most guests to leave so they need to note it on your reservation that you desire late checkout. I'm not sure, but there are probably only a certain percentage of these they allow in order to ensure guests checking in have a room ready for them!

WOOO HOOOOO! Mail just came and mymugwasinthemailanditisbeautiful!!

I am so happy! DH thinks I am insane, but he knew that when he married me 19 years ago! I LOVE IT! Thank you, thank you, DISBUG!

You need to be able to plug your laptop into their ethernet connection. It is really easy. I had brought my own ethernet cord but didn't need it as they have a connection right on the desk with a power source near by (on the lamp). I loved having my laptop there in June and giving everyone our updates!

I am waiting for the next pot of coffee to brew so I can pour it into MY *secretmessagekindathing* mug!
