NEW...DOLPHIN/SWAN..."questions and answers"...tips and hints!

madge - go back to the code and where you see IMG=200 - change 200 to alesser #. My "mouseteacher" is 100.

As the sun sets in our respective cities and towns, the sun is setting on our favorite resorts--- this one is for us as night falls:

oops - sorry madge - those directions work for signature pix only, I think.

I love the picture with the thought!

I also thought that you could change the height of anything using that code. I wonder what is happening?

Debbie

Debbie - I know you can with our yearbook pic but a photo I'm not sure how to - I know you can --but not clear on how to change the code.

....and evening falls on the Swan, too

Can you hear the crickets? Are we getting ready for our PS or going into a park for the evening? Or are we having a quick dip at the Grotto pool? ;) :) Who's that headed to the Dolphin Fountain for an ice cream delight? :)

Just pretending and wishing...deep sigh!

Cute Kiddos Madge, Is the littlest one a girl?

I also do not know of an "observation deck" at the Swan or the Dolphin. Anyone else?

I have decided after our trip this February/March we will plan a return trip the following January. We intend to be there after Christmas into the New Year and touring the parks the week following New years 2005 I hope we can still make a candlelight processional and see all the decorations. Lets just get this trip of February 2004 planned before moving on to the next one. Always thinking ahead, I don't like not having a trip to WDW in the works

:D

Taking a peak at what's going on!

Lou~ thanks for the email! Checking it now..

Hello all. Just an update. It looks like July is becoming the front runner for the meet...

Good work, Disbug.

Someone posted about an observation deck - I just can't remember which thread I read it on. :(

#1 hockeymom~ mouseteacher was originally correct about downsizing photos. This is how I did it for the logo poll!...

>image width="100" SRC="http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid75/p6e84f71781ded30aa38e5d9975f5c07d/fb4931b4.jpg"</IMG<

The above code is correct for down sizing your photo width (except for reversing the <> on the end which I had to do so you can see the code!) If you want to down size the height just substitute the word height for width! Remember to reverse the >< for <> on the ends!

~madge! How is it coming?

Thanks again to Loubon for converting my image in powerpoint to a jpeg!

Actually...a GROUP of somebodies...THE "GANG" that used to be in my sig (Mickey, Donald & Pluto with the GOOF!). Somehow...I erased it.

However, I was successful in following DISBUGS (THANKS, AGAIN!) instructions via PM, and insert the avatar and also the new countdown.

Now...if someone can locate my old pic floating around somewhere, I'd be forever indebted! (LOL). Looks rather "bland" without a Picture!

"Sorority wave to all the sisters!"

(Disbug...love the second one!).

There is an observation deck on the 12th floor, you get to it from the stairs, DS and DH discovered this. This is on the west side elevators. You may have to take the elevators to the 12th floor then the stairs. Got some nice pictures from there.

Everyone have a wonderful trip is really is a beautiful resort.

The view is also quoted as being of the Dolphin.

Thanks for the WONDERFUL pics...made my day! I did not know of an observation "deck" in either resort. I did post about the "secret" observation "balcony" on the 25th floor. Anyone want those directions again?

Df99.. ;)

Thank you for all the downsizing info! I downsized my hockeymom logo down to 75 so it wouldn't take as long to load. I wanted to see if it could be "any" number, also. It worked!

I love the first logo! I am just thinking off the top of my head, and by no means want or expect anyone to work on it, but wouldn't it be neat to have the actual hotel pics be a watermark behind their respective greek letters?

I wonder if that really nice suite with the grand piano has what is considered an observation deck?

DF>> I also accidentally erased my hockey Mickey without saving it! I need to go find it now! I hope you find your signature!

*can hear the crickets while walking from my room to my dinner PS*
Debbie

I give... I can't think of a Disney hotel that has 25 floors?? Where is the "super secret" observation deck? LOL!

The old kitty cat in the dryer trick, huh! Pretty cute! Got your email on the clear vs white background. Makes sense! Thanks!

Madge! Don't give up. You are close! Read my PM and let's see those pics!

Well DF - it looks like you aced it!

Ozzie - I'm a she! (Jenny) Hmmm....maybe that's why the Tag Fairies put my tags in Blues and Reds, instead of pinks and lavenders! They probably had the wrong half of the species too!

My DS found the observation deck, but I thought he said you found it off the 11th floor (on the Boardwalk end) of the Swan. I'm just not really good in high open places so I never went out there. I was thinking he found it off the stairway down from Beach Club to 11th?

Those cats can be pretty hardy most of the time.....My grandma had one that ended up in a plastic bag on the attic stairway - I don't remember the whole story but she was still alive 2 weeks later when they found her. Made every newspaper in the area!

ozziewags>> I wonder if we used to be "neighbors". We lived in Waterloo, IL for two years before moving to Kansas last summer. We loved this area outside of St. Louis. It had all of the benefits of a small town but then it was only a 15-20 minute drive to do all of the "big city" stuff (I miss The Hill). Go Rams!! (Not quite Chief fans yet)

MomPoppins>> Maybe we will see you at the Swan this February, we will be there at the end of the month too. Have you been at this time before? I am wondering what kind of weather and crowds to expect. Also, I saw a previous post of yours regarding tickets from Paramount. Do you feel you got a good deal compared to other brokers? Thanks!

Mouseteacher :

Thank you! You're right--Imagestation was easy to use. Now we'll try this again...

<A HREF="http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4289281095"><IMG SRC="http://www.imagestation.com/images/is/community/this_album_button.gif" BORDER="0"></A>

I tried to post one of the pictures, but although I see it on the preview, when the post actually gets submitted, it just says "sorry, you are trying to view the picture outside of imagestation."

Well--baby steps...

Good morning, sorority sisters ---

lonegungirl:
Everything I have learned about posting pics, avatars, and sigs - I have learned from my esteemed colleagues. :) ...and that includes discovering the S/D resorts!

Your pictures were terrific - thanks for sharing. I had the same view only we were facing you from our balcony in the east wing!

Well, my countdown clock for school opening is running down. I eeked out today and tomorrow as final vacation days (custodians are doing the final washing and waxing of the office and foyer floors, so they kicked us out!) - teachers are in on Tuesday for meetings and students return on Wednesday. After 30+ years of being a teacher and a principal, the opening of school should be routine but I still get butterflies.

If our meet is able to come to reality next summer, where will you stay - S or D? DF, I know you're choice LOL. I'm undecided - can't choose- but leaning toward the Swan. Or, then again, maybe the Dolphin to try their renovated rooms. Oh, the wonderful decisions to ponder!

Lou~ It's great seeing our brother continue to post here. And, don't worry about us teachers -- I am a great speller but a terrible typist so spelling errors are a regular occurance for me. But I just can't let errors stay when I notice them after I post - I am compelled to edit... the teacher in me! So tedious!! :)
