It was one year ago on the 22, we lost our beloved "Pong" (big white pekin). We had to drive 4 1/2 hours to obtain "Zyrus", as a 5 day-old from a Duck hatchery! (www.metzerfarms.com) For PONG'S Story, click on "Customer stories" and read "Pong, the magnificent Pekin" ~DD wrote the story. Zyrus as big as Pong now, and thinks he's an "inside" duck! LOL.

We are having a heatwave...it up tp 21 degrees! At least we are out of the single digits! It's still snowing, no sun, and treacherous driving. My ABS was overworked on the way to and from church this morning. Ohhhhhh, how I wish I was in San Diego at the Super Bowl ... maybe next year for the BILLS!

Hello, Kelli! I've missed you!! The temp today is 78 here, sunny and WARM! Yes, Zyrus has definitely "thrived" under the constant care and attention of DD. AP rates are available...of course! LOL. *Teacher rates too!!

Say, if we were able to combine the teacher rate, DC rate, AP rate and " friend" rate- i might be able to get there DF. Looks like a wonderfully relaxing "heaven" to be at.
Lets's see - it is 15 degrees now, more snow on the way tonight, thick ice still on the bottom of the driveway and winter vacation doesn't begin for 2 more weeks!!! Love New England!!!! caroline

Caroline...the only ICE I see is dispensed on the door of the freezer! LOL! "Chez DF99" is nearing completion, and should be accepting reservations for the summer of 2004! the Pool house being built will have a loft, bath/shower, kitchen/fridge/range, Murphy bed, etc. It should be Pretty nice, especially with the Nice huge double white french doors I have selected w/shutters. The front will have two large pillars (rocked like the pool), and a faux balcony. We are also putting in a rock jacuzzi (in ground) where the swing is sitting. Construction and permits all take time.

I did some shopping Friday, and bought a beautiful Ornate Curio to house my WDW Steiffs, and also a new burgandy leather Sofa set and rocker/lounger, plus a couple lamps. Won't be delivered for a couple weeks. I'm giving my current family room set to my little sis--as she can always use it! Also bought another annual "car wash" vip pass. They hand-wash, dry the vehicle as many times as I desire, and also vac/fragrance/armour all, etc. It's a wonderful thing, and something never offered when I lived in Upstate NY. The place is so nice, with a free internet cafe (4 stations), free soda and coffee on tap, huge waterfall/fishtank for enjoyment while you wait inside for your vehicle to get serviced. Takes about 20-25 minutes.

I'm still tickled about the news of the "high speed" internet access now available at the WDW Dolphin. I enjoy using the laptop while there, and will truly enjoy it this summer.

OR CALI! I love Skating, and do get to go while in San Fran, Lake Arrowhead or occasionally here. But, I also love snow skiiing and boarding, and NOW the season begins!! All my friends are hitting the slopes...time for me to brush off the equip. and prime for FUN!

Hi-I've booked the Swan (Swan rather than Dolphin for the queen sized beds) for Feb14-17. I made the mistake of reading the reviews on Fodors and now I am thinking I made a mistake. I have already had Bob at Dreams Unlimited switch me from Dolphin to Swan. The thought of my 15 yr old son sharing a double bed with my 8 yr old daughter-just seemed too uncomfortable. And the rollaway is an extra $25/night.

ANY feedback would be appreciated! Oh-and congrats to all the expecting mothers out there-I'm a Labor and Delivery nurse, hence the good S/D discount.

We had the roll away fee waived, just for the asking. But I think you would have to pay a roll away fee at other resorts too, unless you could get a room for $129/n with a day bed. I thought the price and location were worth it at the Swan.

I've booked a lake view room at the Swan in December. At the risk of sounding very stupid, what exactly is a lake view room? Is this a view of the boat dock? Will this also give me a view of Epcot or MGM? Can anyone suggest a room/location to request? We've never stayed there so any help would be greatly appreciated.

MGM is out the front of the Swan, Epcot is out the side, Dolphin is out the back. You can see the lake out the back and the front, but I think a lake view would be out the back, since the front is more of a waterway to MGM. I didn't think I would like the MGM view, but it was great. You can see it if you look back several pages.
