We just came back from the Dolphin and loved it. Haven't been to the Swan but it is suppose to be just as nice as the Dolphin. We have stayed at CR and really enjoyed our stay. It was several years back when DD was younger and we spent more time at MK. I would suggest tring the Swan unless you spend more time at MK then go with CR.

Look back a few pages and you will see our view from the Swan, 12th floor, MGM, Boardwalk and WorldShowcase.

I love your picture of the S/D grotto pool! Thanks for posting it!

just set the grotto pool picture as my desktop!!!! Looks inviting, its been in the single digits here for 2 weeks now. Wish I was sitting poolside with a cocktail right now!!!

ozziewags, love the pics, keep them coming! The pool shot looks like an advertisement for the Hotel.
Does anyone know how busy the Swan will be in Nov., i.e. conventions, etc?

Thanks, guys! Glad you enjoy them. Actually, that is my DH and DD standing near the waterfall. You can tell I was trying to get a shot of the pool, not them...lol.

I have stayed at both CR and Dolphin. I love both resorts! However, the teacher rate at the S/D can't be beat and that's why I would choose S/D again. In addition, the location of S/D suits my older teen sons and DH and me - close to MGM, Epcot, BW and restaurants. CR was great when DSs were younger and we wanted to be closer to MK and the monorails.

Thanks for the responses. My children are still really young. DS will be 7 and DD will be 4. They loved the way the resort looked while at Epcot. They were like WOW! How Beautiful. But when they were in Chef Mickey's they watched the monorail over and over. They are worse than me!:o I know that the CR doesn't have a kiddie pool, and I'm just trying to make the best decision so everyone can have an awesome time.

If anyone is going on or around easter 2003 and knows of any pool closings could you post them. Next time I call i will ask and post. Thanks

My team (49ers) are not playing, but here in CALI...it's all about the RAIDER NATION! LOL. I LOVE the commercials...and will be enjoying these tomorrow!

Ozzie...loved your Pool Pics so much...I decided to post a few of our pool (which is kind of a theme park pool on a mini-scale!). I'm so hungry for summer...and WDW & Dolphin! Enjoy....

Wow, DF, we are coming to your place for vacation!!! Love your pics. Is that a real duck? And where is the night scene from? More, more.

Great pics, DF! Do you have a handsome pool boy taking care of that lovely pool? ;)

This is a little bit better picture of the Slide/waterfall!

Ozzie...Come on over! Yes...these are REAL ducks! They are my DD's pets, and have their own little pond area complete with waterfall/filter, etc. They also have access to another large area which is adjacent to this fenced pond, where the pergola/grapes are located (and the two desert tortoise roam). These duck also come in the house! LOL. The night scene is our view from the suite on the 11th floor of the Westin St. Francis this past Christmas (and union square). :)

Hi, Nancy! ABSOLUTELY! He does a FAB job. Our pool has no plaster/tile. It is all Austrian Pebble tec in Tahoe blue. The pics were taken when we were about to leave for our trip in Early summer 2002. All the furniture is in storage, and the yard is a bit disheveled due to the construction of the concrete pad for the pool house. It usually looks a lot nicer (cleaner), and more lush! Glad you enjoy these. ;)

Chair cushions/giant umbrella, etc.~are all in storage...time for vacation!! ;) How about a little "mudslide" from the Brown Derby? The blue hats (100 years) are 100% edible white chocolate!! Mmmmm....;)

DF,
Great pictures! Love your pool, yard, ducks, everything! Thank you so much for posting them! Maybe someday we can even see a picture of you?! Now that would be great! I would love it if DH would teach me how to post digital pictures. He sends digital pictures in email so I am assuming he would know how to post some? I know my DS would know how but he is in Medford and not home to teach mom a new trick! Thank you again for the great peek at your yard!

dreamfllight think i'm having a flashback was it your duck a while back that was sick or injured?- I can"t imagine 2 people on the boards with ducks.

WOW, DF! Great pix of the pool - when I look outside my house I see ice covered driveway and snow covered back yard!!!!!! ICK.

I'm dreaming of summer, too. Or maybe for the current temp to at least reach 32.
