New 'Do

I had a dramatic change at the hairdressers yesterday!

I made the mistake of looking through a "Hair" magazine and spotted a funky (though high maintenence! 'do). Mentioned to my hairdresser that I liked the colours and the gleam in her eye nearly blinded me! I've gone for my normal cut but she's done me a lovely rich dark brown all over with chunky streaks (does that make sense?) of blonde and bright red on top.

Have you ever gone into thehairdressers and come out with something quite different?? My usual style (I like to call it that, LOL) is chin length at the sides and on top but a short back, with subtle caramel and blonde highlights on top. I guess I must have had my rebellious personality on yesterday

Aw sounds lovely, you should post a piccie.

I fear the hairdressers, I love the length of my hair,quite long,but I must admit,I am in need of a change for xmas, and really cannot decide on what to do, I'd like definately a good old chop off the length but then stumped.

You new barnet sounds lovely,takes a while to get used to it tho,lol

It sounds really nice Karen - has it grown on you yet (so to speak), my hair has been red for years now (to cover the greys) and I wonder whether I should go back to my original brown - but I cling to my red hair like I cling to my youth (which I'm afraid fled years ago )

Ok - I only once had my hair coloured - and that was not intended when I went into the hairdressers! I went in for a cut and came out looking like a plum. The worst of it was that the lighting inside the hairdressers was rather 'subtle'!! So I didn't see the full effect until I got home and looked in the mirror - and saw the forced smile on DH's face, who said I looked "different" (LOL!!), and younger son screwed his nose up and said my hair looked awful (LOL!!!)

Oh come one I bet it looks great I really want to see!!!! I used to be quite conservative with my hair and then I started going to a new hair dresser where they had an excellent colourist, now I have dar brown, brown, golden, and platinum stripes ( people wonder why Tigger is my Fave!) in my hair. I think it's excellent! Took DH a while to get used to it though!

Hair do sounds FAB. Ive been really boring and gone for one colour all over, after a "highlights" disaster a few years back. I came out looking like a badger. It was not pretty.
