OK, just got back from the West Coast. Rode the submarine. They were handing out a brouchure with questions to while away the 2-3 hour wait. So as I'm riding the plane back from LAX, I saw that in the fine print they were talking about VMK cards. Did I miss out on getting some new DL exclusive cards?

I think those were the submarine quest cards that give you the submarine middle.

Where do you get the cards? I didn't look for VMK Central since I had read it was gone.

According to Yavn's newsletter a VMK card with a code for the middle piece of the submarine will be submitted with each brochure starting later this week.

I would assume that you would hand them in just before you get on or as you leave the ride.

From the newsletter:

Now you can finish building your own yellow submarine.
Guests who have already visited the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage – got a preview of the Quest (minus the card) which features a link to the Finding Nemo Virtual Lagoon - there you can find codes for the front and back of the sub. See the Promotions Page for more details.

Sounds like you can visit the link from brochure and still get the codes?

I'm sorry, I just re-read what I posted and realized it did not mean what I thought. Front and back, no middles. Sorry!!

From what the VMK newsletter says the one you got and anyone else since the ride has opened basically got a preview of the quest. The quest with the card for the middle piece will be given out sometime this week. I'm not into the idea of having to stand in that long line to get the pieces. When we go we have 3 kids with us so it would not work well. LOL

The line for the ride is horrible. Got to the park at 7:30 AM when the parking structure opened. Got the third tram to DTD, bought my ticket and went straight to the ride. The line snaked to It's a Small World and I stood in line from 8:30 to after 11 to ride the sub.

Honestly I don't believe any ride to be worth that wait. Imagine how much more you could do in that time frame instead of standing in one line for many hours? LOL I have seen video of it from one Disney site that is basically all DL ride videos and audio. It looks cool but really with being so close to the parks I rather just wait until the lines aren't 3 hours long. Just a little something for those that might be going to DL for vacation and don't live near it...if you have early entry they do have the subs open for it. I've heard it can be an hour long but that is better then 3 hours, right?
