New Disneyland App is up and running

They've added Rapunzel, Merida, Ariel, and Aurora to the Character list. However the set times don't seem to be accurate (has them out meeting for 5 minute increments only). Hopefully they are still working on it, but glad to see them added in there!

Has anyone tried to add their Hard Copy Park Hoppers to the app? I am wondering if we can, so we do not have to show the pass every time we enter?

They've said before that at this time, it's only passes that have been purchased through the app that can be used in that way. However, even in those situations, you'll still need the actual ticket to pull FPs and such, so to me, there's not really much of a point.

Just a quick feedback post -- we spent the last three days at the parks and relied heavily on the app for wait times and restroom hunting. :p

For the most part, I found that wait times were fairly accurate, but we did have a couple of experiences where app said that the wait would be much shorter than our actual wait time -- we were in line at IASW last night for 20 minutes, when the app said wait time would only be 10.

They also don't update very quickly when rides break down. There were a couple of instances when we showed up for rides that were showing a 5-min wait time only to find out that the ride's closed.

But all in all, it was pretty helpful in making trip planning easy! ;)

We tried it out last Wednesday. I thought it was fun, but I can live just fine without it. The wait times were not particularly accurate on many of the rides we were going to and I just didn't use much else. I did like the entertainment schedule, but as others have said, I was constantly having to log back in, which was annoying. The app requires a lot of memory space and can drain your battery. I had to uninstall 3 other apps to make room for it on my phone so I'm planning on uninstalling it since I don't find it useful enough to keep.

ETA: I have very few apps on my phone to begin with other than the stupid bloatware Verizon won't let me remove

To follow-up on this - has anyone bought tickets through the app? How have you pulled your Fastpasses? My Mom just bought tickets for herself and my Dad for our upcoming trip this Friday using the app. She thought it would be better this way so she didn't have to make a trip to the ticket booth on our first morning but I didn't even think about the Fastpass issue.

They will issue a paper ticket when they use eticket the first time.

I used it the last two days, great for seeing when shows are scheduled. Wait times were fairly accurate. But in some spots (especially DCA) the app would not refresh! Drained my battery trying to reopen the app. It also doesn't show fast pass return times.....that would be very helpful. I don't want to schlep all the way to GRR if they are handing out 10pm fast pass return times.
Also it would be very helpful if when you clicked on the restaurant it showed the menu.
Overall, not impressed. I like mouse wait better

I turned off wi-fi which helped immensely with battery drain and called Ask Otto for return FP times. That is how I solved those issues that I have had in the past regarding the battery and with the app.

It really wasn't a big deal about the battery, I can recharge. But waiting for the page to load was annoying. Maybe it's my service provider? Is everyone else's loading right away?

Mine loaded pretty quick the first four days. Sunday in DCA was a bit slow.
