New Disney World Hotel Rumor!

Yep, clear as day on page 16. You can see the new canal. For those interested in the highlevel view of Disney's plans go to:
Next Disney Resort Location View
In addition to the problems with this drawing pointed out by others:

(1) perhaps you would realign Vista Blvd around the project, but why would you move it way South of the current alignment east of the project (and into conservation area)? What's the campground access to Vista Blvd on this map?

(2) Instead of ending at World Drive as it does currently (west of the project), the map shows Vista Blvd continuing on through the Magic Kingdom parking lot access road. couldn't do that without a flyover (which is expensive and so not used often at WDW). Why would they treat this traffic differently than all other MK resort traffic, which has to go around the front of the Poly and then back down World Drive?

(3) That same westerly extension of Vista Blvd is shown crossing the race track!

Jobs are definitely at stake... Like the designer who intersected the road extension with the race track! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You are right, I'd REALLY be surprised with the accuracy!

Guess you will have to wait and see :thumbsup2

Road through racetrack...hmmmmm...what could that mean? :3dglasses

Anybody who actually had good sources would be risking jobs by revealing them. If you can reveal your source, then your source is either a shill or doesn't actually know anything. It's a convient double edged sword.

True, but if you were really concerned about that why would you say anything.

Because people deserve to know. You know, in the old days, Disney didn't hide very much. Well, they hid the land purchases to keep prices down, but in terms of attractions, they were extremely up front. There are a lot of people who put an obscene amount of faith and personal enjoyment in Disney. They should be aware of what's really going on, good and bad.

But if you want to come on this board and post something supposedly based on inside knowledge, but won't reveal your sources, you should at least be ready to bring some information that supports your credibility--not some homemade graphic.

Especially since many people who do that are full of you-know-what. Or are quoting Disney busdrivers.

:rotfl2: I feel like one of those 5 year olds who says "I know something you don't ". Oh well. Come November let's update this thread where either I can say "told you so", or you can all throw pies in my face. popcorn::

nuts - You know something that I know....

Personally, I think building a resort on the STOL site with EPCOT monorail access would be great idea.

I think it is a much idea than converting the North wing of the CR into a DVC.

Maybe the North wing at the CR will become DVC but then again maybe they have other plans such as converting 2 rooms and making more suite rooms.
The master area could have a King bed and a larger bathroom with a whirlpool tub and the other room could be a basic standard room.

It seems a lot of families like the idea of having a separate room for the children but since Disney cannot always guarantee connecting rooms they would rather book a suite.

The mod resorts have jr. suites at CSR and the value resorts have the family suites at the All Stars so new suites at the CR could be the option for a deluxe resort.

Just my 2 cents.

I do not have any inside info.

nuts is not all that "nuts" - There is a good basis of information here, that if you connect the dots already posted in this thread.... you should be able to figure it out. Be creative, and don't be afraid to move or remove some asphault.

Ooooooh, more obtuse suggestions! How intriguing.

Now does anyone care to respond to the specific issues pointed out about the supposed concept drawing? Surely that can be done without endangering jobs any more than what has already been revealed. I'm a commercial real estate attorney, I work with developers all of the time and have seen many, many concept drawings, and that one doesn't fly.

So far nuts has just been saying "I know something you don't know." But other than a very flawed supposed concept drawing, nuts hasn't added anything to the speculation about a possible resort on that site. I don't know exactly what nuts thinks they might be saying "I told you so" about in November.

If someone is claiming that the racetrack is being dismantled, just come out and say so. Why would that be any more dangerous to reveal than any other info posted here? Until then, you're just playing games.

my sister in love with disney she is simba387 or something like that.

Says who? And what right do we have to know what they may or may not be thinking? If this is truly a spectacular new DVC resort, then what would this do to SSR sales if everyone who was interested in buying into SSR now waited until this was available? Does Disney not have the right to protect that?

They were upfront with attractions "in the old days"? Even before they were approved? Sure Walt talked about concepts, especially the Epcot concepts, but that was for selfish reasons, not to keep his fans "aware of what's really going on". But I'll take your word for it. I am not really sure why you would be upfront about concepts, though. If for one reason or another the concept doesn't come true, everyone's dissapointed.
