There might be a thread about this already....but I don't have the time to look thru all the posts. (I have a one year old, LOL)
Anyway I got an email today from Mousesavers and they state that the value resort rate with the Disney Visa is $69.00 per night standard. BUT I called this past Friday and booked Pop Century for $54.00 per night! You can get a preferred room location for an additional $10.00. So be sure and call - those rates can be lower than posted!
(we also got $139.00 per nite at WL for 3 nights in June, woods view!)

When are you going?

The WL $139 is what has been reported by mousesavers, but I think the $54 is more like the FL res rates? Oh well...

Is there anyway I can get more info on this? I have the Disney Visa and subscribe to the mousesavers newsletter but I keep getting an error message when I try to open it. I haven't received anything on this from Bankone either. TIA

crusoe2...if you pm me, I will email the newsletter to you, if you still need it! :D

Crusoe,
This was not an advertised deal. I called to make two seperate ressies for two different weeks. I made my WL res for the $139 a night and told the CM to put it on my Disney Visa. Then I made my April res, with the same CM on the same call and when she was checking rates (FL res rates was what I asked for) she said " wait a minute....you have the Disney Visa, I show a lower rate than the FL res rate for Disney Visa card holders." That is how I got the $54 rate at Pop Century!
My friend called two days later to make the same reservation and the Disney Visa rates were all sold out, so I got LUCKY! Her FL res rate for the same dates at Pop are $77. I know it is only a $23 difference, but that will cover one of our meals!
I am psyched!
Lesson learned, I wil now ask if there are Visa rates available AS WELL as FL res rates. I would have never known they existed if the kind CM didn't tell me about it.

See? My friend waited (thinking she had time even though I told her she didn't as rates book up FAST). She called last night and got a rate of $77 for the same night at POP. I told her so!

Debbie,
I just saw your question and the answer is no, not yet. We are going to buy the seasonal AP's when we go in April. I have found though, that the Visa rates are lower than AP rates (depending on when you call), and the FL res rates seem to be the same as AP rates for the most part.

Zalansky...

If you look on Mousesavers.com, you will see this:

http://www.mousesavers.com/disneyresorts.html#states

-----------------------------------
ONLY for Florida residents who are ALSO Disney's Visa cardholders: ask for Code CCA and get special discounted rates at select Walt Disney World resorts for check-ins 4/18/04-7/4/04. Sample rates:

Value resorts - $54 standard
Moderate resorts - $69 standard
Animal Kingdom Lodge - $119 standard, $195 savannah view
Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Club - $209 standard
Other resorts, room types and views are available at varying prices!
------------------------------------

If your friend is already paying $69 for the regular Disney Visa rate or even $77 for the Florida Resident rate, she should call back and see about upgrading to a moderate resort with the code above since the POP is already booked for that rate.

Good Luck....
speedyf :)

Thanks Speedy....
my friend will have to grin and bear it, we all want to stay at the same resort!
