New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

Very pleased to be an inaugural member of the card... The credit structure has definitely surprised me... It is more compelling than I imagined it would be... am hoping that continues!

Glad APs will count for the ticket credit... And, am curious how a "split tender" situation could work out... Put most of it on GCs, and "just enough" on the Disney Visa to trigger the ticket credit... Would be great if it works that way...

Also the $200 credit is great for anyone taking a Disney Cruise!

3% at Disney is a nice improvement as well...

You still get your discounts, just rather than pulling out your card to pay you send the bill to your room. Think of it as a bar tab to your room.

This is really only for WDW, at DLR you really can only charge some table service to your room.

Oh, bummer. We never eat table service. At least at DLR there's a DVC discount on quick service.

Can you charge to the room if you do mobile ordering at quick service at WDW?

You get DVC or AP discounts when charging to the room, but to get the Disney Visa discount you have to charge to the Visa card. You’ll get Rewards in that case!

I think we'd end up getting rewards either way since we'd pay the room charges with the Visa at the end of our stay. Right?

We're going to aulani! I got 2 nights in a deluxe island garden and 2 in a one bedroom pool. Aiming for 8 nights

Will you add in a trip to a place your wife wants too? I hope so!

I was offered basically the same as the welcome offer of $300 for $1k spend to upgrade to the premier.
This was beneficial as there was no credit hit and more importantly it did not affect my 5/24 status to open better cards.
You will get $300 for spending $1K... will you also get a $300 gift card?

Yes, exactly.

Unfortunately, no. You have to pay in the app, but if you have your Disney Visa set as the default CC in the app, you should still earn rewards for Dining, I hope. I can’t remember now whether we earned rewards when mobile ordering at WDW!

She will want this

You will get $300 for spending $1K... will you also get a $300 gift card?
It would depend on the offer.

As @Duckbug.Ducktales pointed out earlier this my example was from before this Inspire card was offered and was to go from the regular/classic disney card to the Premier.

I think the gift cards are a new thing it used to be just statement credits which imo are better as that means I'm spending less to meet the requirements. If the Inspire card offer was changed to $600 statement credit after spending $1K at for a WDW AP at Disney that means that I would earn $30 in Disney Dollars and I would receive an extra $100 statement credit for the tickets. So if I didn't want to chase the $2k spend or worry about Disney Streaming I could throw the card in a drawer and my total owed to Chase would be $270 ($1,000 - $600 - $100 - $30 Disney Dollars redeemed with PYB). With this same offer I would owe Chase $570 ($1,000 - $300 - $100 - $30 Disney Dollars redeemed with PYB) and be holding a $300 Gift Card which I probably could have purchased for a discount with the $300 I didn't pay chase earlier.

Just wondering - for the $200 Disney rewards, the terms state "Qualifying Purchases also include Disney Cruise Line stateroom rates booked directly with Disney Cruise Line in U.S. Dollars (which includes associated taxes and fees but excludes folio expenses and port adventures)." Would cruises booked with a TA not be eligible, or am I reading too much into it?

I would think a TA should qualify as they just pass your payment info to Disney and your card is charged by them. I think this is more for if you were to find the cruise on priceline, expedia or other 3rd party booking site. I would think going through Costco would work though as they are acting as your TA.

I went on my chase account and only see the application for the no fee and the premier cards.
Where is everyone finding the link to apply for the inspire?

Those who have upgraded to or received the new inspire card was it easy to activate the Disney Streaming $10 credit? It states that it has to be activated yearly just curious if it is just a button that shows up on your account or how you go about activating it.

Yes, you just click on it and it's activated. I guess this will need to done yearly.

did you just call and ask to get this?

No I received emails constantly and this was a decent offer. A lot of the other offers were for making 1 purchase and receive between $50 - $100 which basically just covered the AF.

Part of it for the offer was probably because I never used the card unless I was emailed a 5x offer there was no point since I have better cards for everyday and category spend. Until PYB my Rewards Dollars would sit in jail to as I wouldn't have enough to move it over to the redemption card.

Now that people are getting the Inspire card they can downgrade their preferred card and let it sit in a drawer and see if an upgrade offer comes their way since Chase will see you are not spending on it.

I'm having trouble finding where I activate this perk. Do I do it through Hulu when I get the card or can I do it through Chase before I get the card in the mail?

Thanks in advance!

I'm waiting to get under 5/24 so I don't have the card yet as I haven't upgraded my premier either.

@tx911 did it and if it is like my CSR card for Apple it is done in the chase website.
