New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

Maybe someone knows how to do this. If I want to get the new card, I'll want/need to close a previous Chase card to free up some credit line. Do you know if it's easy to do that over the phone? I feel like Chase always wants me to call a different number to deal with a specific card. The goal would be to get the sign up bonus rather than upgrade my current card.

I haven't ever looked into business cards. Would they consider the gross income of the business or the net income?

You probably don’t need to close any cards. And it is super easy to transfer credit lines from one card to another. You can call or you can also send them a secure message and say I’d like to move this amount of credit line from X card to Y card. I think they do limit you to one per 30 days and some cards have a minimum amount of credit line you need to leave on them.

If you're logged in to your Chase account you can also very easily move credit limits between cards on the same account. Just a few clicks.

I'm in @cruisehopeful boat as transferring credit myself won't help me. Chase won't approve me without me lowering my CL as they have extended my limits across all of my accounts past their defined threshold. I forgot what that is but I am over it. Last summer I had to call after being denied for a card and then they were able to approve the card but they could not issue new credit and had to move credit from an existing card to put on it which obviously I couldn't do since it wasn't open at that point.

I have decreased credit over the phone. I have also transferred credit to another card by secure messaging.

No reckless speculation on what they'll offer?

One DVC lounge entry a year?
Maybe next DVC incentive round, $1500 off 150+ point purchases if you use this card?
Cut to the front of the line on the credit card exclusive character meet and greets?
9 month 0% financing?

These are not DVC cards so I wouldn’t expect anything besides the random incentive every now and then.
They aren't but its not unheard off to use one product to promote another. D23 isnt a DVC product but they are offering $500 discounts on DVC. In a world where nearly every credit card with a annual fee gives you some kind of lounge access, would it be absurd to allow someone a one time entry where they then get pushed towards a guide? "Oh, you like the AC and cheap treats? Well, how would you like 40+ more years of that?"

I send a secure message and ask them to lower my credit limit when they auto increase them, or when I know I have too much credit to get approved for a new card. Super easy to do without having to pick up a phone!

I'd love to get some creative speculation on benefits going, but a) I'm not creative and b) I'm a realist so expect nothing exciting from Disney.

Depending on AF, here are some of the ideas that would interest me:
-3% or better on Disney spend (I can already get 3x-4x on dining via Chase/AMEX)
-increased discounts on dining, park tickets, add on events, cruises
-increased bonus rewards if you redeem for something other than Disney credit (i.e. limited time bonus on buying a particular add on?)
-opportunity to book VIP viewing areas for fireworks, Fantasmic, parades
-DCL on board credit (a girl can dream)

I'd be willing to bet money that one "perk" will be a monthly credit of some amount on Disney+/Hulu/ESPN streaming bundles. And, when you add up the annual amounts of those credits, it will probably be $50-$100 less than the AF. I could see them combining that with 3% cash back on Disney spend and keeping the other Premier 2% categories or, alternatively, they do 5% cash back on Disney spend, but get rid of the 2% back on restaurant/gas/groceries - then, they encourage you to have both the Premier and the Inspire if you want all bonus spend categories.

That would be probably be enough to sell it for me. Not interested in the 2% categories - you can do far better elsewhere - but 3% on Disney spend across the board plus a bundle credit would be great.

And agreed, a monthly credit for their streaming services should be a no brainer for them.

I know there's a lot of hate lately for the "coupon book" route many of the high AF AMEX and Chase cards are going but I actually really enjoy it and would love for this card to have credits a la the AMEX Plat/Gold. LEt's be real the free Debit card gives you basically all the same discounts the paid cards give and you can get 5% off DGCs at Target at any given moment so if they charged an actual hefty fee I would expect many credits and discounts. But the $1000 spend for the SUB kind of tells me this is going the route of a $95 or $99 AF and not much of an upgrade to the $49 version. Hope I'm wrong and they go nuts!

The only place I saw it over the past week was that one location in Club Cool at EPCOT. It immediately stood out, so I'm thinking that was the only time I came across it.

My guess is still that someone put out the display ahead of schedule.

Well that would be uninteresting since I already get the premium D+/Hulu bundle with my Amex Platinum. So DH isn't going to be happy when I get this card purely for the Mickey on the front 😂
