New Disney Theme Park reservation system

I wanted to update everyone on some new information I received today. According to Disney anyone with an on property Resort stay and valid admission up until September 26,2021 CAN book Park Passes tomorrow. I know. Bummer for the 2020 crowd.
This was not the information I was given yesterday so there's egg on my face.

No worries...it seems that with all right now, things change. Maybe they figured it won’t crash the system..or that what was put out was confusing and it was easier to open for all, then try to correct it.

I’m sorry but an AP only getting to book 3 days is absolutely ridiculous. If staying onsite was not a requirement for getting reservations, neither for those who have AP’s and off site accommodations. The ability to only book 3 dates in a rolling year should automatically grant a refund to all affected passholders.

I have onsite reservations booked and no, it doesn’t affect my group unless we can’t get the dates we want. They really should remember who saved them in the past... They might not be willing to save them again....

I'm thinking the odds are that the new theme park reservation system completely crashes for at least 2 hours. Anybody want to bet against me?
If they use the new system queue-it for queuing that they use for MM, it should not crash.

My DH and I have AP’s, but I don‘t see his on MDE, he had his own MDE. Will we each have to go on line to Reserve a reservation to a park?

Make sure you are connected as actual friends and you should see him. We did that with my DD boyfriend.

I don't think this post covers DVC members. The only reason a DVC member would have tickets already would be if they are approaching the fast pass window, or if they are AP holders (in which case their guests would still need tickets. I don't think Disney is doing a system where DVC members are shut out of the parks. We'll find out on Monday.
I have tickets because I was supposed to go in March...then in June...And I am a DVC Member. So I do appreciate them setting this up so it prioritizes people like me who have had tickets but had to reschedule their reservations multiple times. If getting the upgraded Magic bands is any indication, I’m very doubtful about the IT system holding up tomorrow! We will see I guess.

I am going to disagree with you. I have been DVC for over 11 years and have never waited to buy my tickets.

Once we had the trip booked, I bought the tickets from UT. Yes, some Do wait, but to say that the fact that some DVC members dont have them I s because they are DVC isn’t really accurate.

Anyone, cash or DVC, who waited had reasons to do so. But, this year, with the shut down and reopening, that delay has come with a delay in getting a park reservation.

Sometimes, things happen that make the way one did things in the past, not work now.

We are connected, and I see him, I have always been able to make FPs, for instance, but his AP isn’t listed under “tickets.” We’ll see tomorrow. He and I are currently enjoying Dollywood ( which I think has done exceptional work to help guests feel safe ) and we’ll be traveling all day tomorrow. We’ll see!

If your husband has his own MDE account, I might know how to fix it. Someone posted the fix for this in one of the theme park threads, I tried it for DD16 as her ticket didn't show up on my account, and it worked!

Your DH will need to go on his MDE account, go to family and friends, click on your name, it will say "choose which plans you can see," click on ALL my plans. If "only plans we share" is selected you won't be able to see his ticket on your account. It might be easier to do it through the website than app, but can be done either way.

Good luck!
