New Disney Store opening in Oregon!!!

I just received an email about a new Disney store opening near my home.

The location is Woodburn Outlets, exit 271 off of I-5.

Grand Opening is this Saturday! At 10am

Yeahhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Call me old fashioned, but I kind of miss the days where you never got a Disneyland T-shirt or other items unless you went to the park. Oh well. The kids enjoy it.

I meant to say Saturday morning. However I did find out that they are doing a soft opening today, Thursday and Friday.

Anyone have any idea if they do any deals? I live in Seaside and could make the trip there and back but only if there were some benefits to going instead of going to the Clackamas one that I usually go to when visiting my parents.

I hope all of you guys get to go to the D store sometime,It's the employee store and it has everything from Disneyland all marked down.Its like crack to a junkie.You don't realize what the mark up is until you see their prices.

We had one day before the sale expired.Everything here and in the park was 40% off.We shopped until we dropped.It was a memory.

Just went there last Saturday. They definitely had some good bargains, but you never know what. It is an outlet store, so gets what hasn't been sold in regular stores. Great place for getting birthday/Christmas presents! Adult t-shirts were $12 (regularly 15), $20 beach towels were $12. Lots of Avenger & princess toys/clothes. Even had 2012 t-shirts for 1.99. Probably not a place I want my wife visiting often

We just visited this store for the first time over Memorial Day weekend and it was amazing. Parking was insane because of the holiday, but there were some great sales. 30% off all clearance, and you can get an extra 10% off your entire purchase if you use your Disney VISA. I got a $60 jacket for $12.60, dh got a $22.50 t-shirt for $5, and they had vinylmations for $5.99. They have all the new Monsters U merchandise, and said they would be getting the new Planes stuff in soon.

It's very different from your typical Disney store because they get a lot of stuff directly from the parks. They told us that the "park truck" delivers at the beginning of every month, and it takes a few days to get everything out on display. They suggested calling before you come out if you're traveling any distance so you could make sure the newest shipment was out.

I was there a couple months ago... really excited about not having to drive to Portland to visit a Disney store (live in Salem) and it would be a good place to buy presents for my niece and nephew. I admit, I did pick up a Maleficent doll for myself (she's my favorite) but I'd wait to buy anything else for myself during an actual trip. But for years when a trip isn't in the works, this will be some place to hit up for sure!

I now have stopped buying anyone anything on my DLR trips, apart from my pins... Otherwise, I just pick it up ahead of time at the Disney Store. My kiddo has some really cute clothes that she will love, and, as far as she knows, they came from Disneyland; it just so happens that the merchandise truck brought it down to Woodburn for me!
