Come celebrate the Store Opening of the Burlington Mall Disney Store. The first 200 guests to arrive will get a free Mickey Mouse lollipop. Kids will get excited when they receive their pair of free Kids Mickey Mouse ears with every purchase on August 18th (while supplies last).

The fun starts at 10:00 a.m. with a ribbon cutting to officially open the store. For more information on the celebration, visit DisneyStore.com.

I know the quality and diversity of stuff has gone way down hill over the years but it is still nice to know there is a store right down the street!!

Hmmmm, I think I might get the kids dressed and head over there. It is too hot to really hangout outside. Perhaps a nice air conditioned mall and a Disney fix is just what we need.

Will you be there? I'll look for you.

Disney is also opening a store at the Natick Mall in September. Not the same experience IMO.

We went to the opening today. We got there at 9:45 and there was already a line that wrapped around the mall. We waited 45 min. to get into the store. My girls were excited they got stickers, lollipops and mickey ears. It was fun! Although, I couldn't believe the number of "line cutters" It must be a Disney thing:rotfl: No kidding, The lady in front of me actually called her friend who was in the far back of the line to join her up at the front. IN FRONT OF ME (and about 300 other people):sad2: I saw this happen a few times while we waited.

Anyway, We went over to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch and had a good meal. It was a nice way to stay out of the heat.

I an so happy to have this store open again.

Was anyone else there?

Oooh, Burlington and Natick? This IS exciting news! Can't wait to go to the Burlington store soon. I'm thinking that a field trip is definitely in order for this Saturday. Thank you so much for posting this. You really brightened up my work day :thumbsup2

was at this store today...very disappointing. It felt like a regular department store. No characters on the walls or anything like that, it looked like any other store from the outside.

wow !

Is Disney opening stores where they closed them before ?

We used to have a Disney Store, closed last summer - hope it reopens here, too !

Loved The Disney Store !

:cool1:

Thanks for the info!! I missed the old Disney store that closed last summer. I work up the street at Lahey so I am looking forward to browsing at lunch once again!! :cool1:

The next Disney Store in MA to open (or re-open) will be in Peabody, followed by Natick. I know they are taking applications for Natick right now.

Looks like new stores are opening all over. We are getting a Disney Outlet in North Jersey. Says coming soon. I can't wait - I wonder when soon will be.

At the D23 Expo on September 12th, James Fielding, president, Disney Stores Worldwide is giving a presentation "The Disney Store: The Magic is Back".

I'd like to hear his definition of "Magic" and explain where the "Magic" went over the past 5-10 years. Mr Fielding has been on the job since May 2008 so lets see the direction he takes the Disney Stores. More adult lines please!

You nailed it William. ::yes::

Bill I agree, I'd like to see more adult lines but I wouldn't hold your breath. TDS target audience is kids age 2-12.

I stopped holding my breathe many years ago. I kept passing out. ;)
