New Disney hotels?

My parents just returned from POR and a taxi driver told them that there were two new Disney hotels planned.
One was a Value hotel in the Animal Kingdom area, and one really Deluxe hotel in the Magic Kingdom area!
Anyone have any further information, or heard anything else?

I love the idea of a new Deluxe near MK!! Maybe that is what they are building by the CR. I know there were original plans to have an "Aladdin" themed hotel near MK, but that has never happened.

The "really deluxe" resort is likely the Four Seasons. I haven't heard anything about a value near AK.

Well, if you are a current DVC member, the AKV might be a value to you.

The Four Seasons project is not exactly near the MK. Might be considered a MK resort, but it's further away than Ft Wilderness.

I believe in addition to the Four Seasons project, Disney is planning to develop the property along Western Way with more value resorts and value shopping - sort of a downscale Downtown Disney.

There are Economy resorts planned for the Western Beltway which is near Animal Kingdom.They will be third-party resorts much like the DTD hotels.
