NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

I’m thinking the gift cards site was reloading this morning. I checked earlier this morning & only 3 different cards were showing on the promo page. Rakuten wasn’t pulling up the Disney gift cards at all. Just checked thru Rakuten & many different cards re now showing. And the Disney GC are pulling up thru Rakuten now.

NM. When I try to add to cart it gives another internal error message. Maybe sold out again? Did you get any order to process @robinb? I got a confirmation number & email. Really shouldn’t order anymore right now anyway.

No. When I went to the website 20 minutes ago the EARLYBIRD promo showed on the checkout page and I could click on it and it applied. But then I got greedy and added more gift cards to buy with my Amazon Prime Visa card with 5% off when the Pay in 4 PayPal thing didn’t work and it wouldn’t apply any longer.

So my purchase only gave me credit for the 20% bonus. Has anyone had the 10% end of up showing up later? I purchased egift cards.

Is there a limit to the giftcards . Com 10% off? I've already ordered 1K using the Chase 5% and the "early bird" code. I also have a 5% PP offer. Debating how much i could/should get.
I did 1000....then they ran out.....a couple of days later they were back in stock and I did 1000 more.

Batch one arrived and they are valid and active.

Batch two is in the mail on the way to my house.

Getting so frustrated with this... third time I've missed out on the gift cards dot com deal!!! Guess I need to not wait until 9AM PT if they reload 😭

Yes! Target has been doing this for YEARS with all of it's "spend X get a Target GC valued at X" promos.

Target has to do this because it lowers the amount charged for each item in the category based on the GC value you get. If Target didn't do this, people would buy a ton of merch, pocket the GC, return the merch, and keep the GC. This way the guest "paid" for the promotional GC and returns the merchandise at a fraction of the price.

I understand it seems shady on a GC because it can't be returned, but I am just happy the 5% still works on GCs. It makes these deals very lucrative. I am not going to cry over $5 for every $1k when I am still saving 14.5%.
Although it is certainly a good business reason to discount the merch and sell the GC at face value to circumvent people trying to game the system with returns it is not the reason why Target has to sell THEIR gift cards at face value with no discounts.

As stated previously they are required to record the gift card sale as a liability on their books and they have to do so for the full face value of the gift card until it has been redeemed.

If you're getting an error the Target GC automatically loaded to your account. Count the number of $10 GCs you have and cross reference your purchase history.

I took a screenshot of my account before I placed ten DGC orders. I had five, $10 GCs. I only had twelve after everything "shipped" via email. I clicked on each link. Three worked and seven gave me errors. I ended up with fifteen $10 GCs in total.
Wow 15! Good for you!!! I tried more than 10 and order got cancelled. Oh well...thrilled to get the 10.
