NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

Wonder if DGCs will come back into stock at some point on the earlybird discount offer through giftcardscom.

Disney gift cards are in stock at giftcards.com , it is just that they are not on sale anymore.

When giftcards.com runs a sale, they limit the number of gift cards that they sell at the sale price. Once that limit is hit, the code stops working even though it it still shows on their website. I have written about this issue for years, it is just a very poorly run system.

Now whether they will run another sale on Disney gift cards is anyone's guess.

Thanks! I was ready to buy 5 DGC and hopefully get $50 but wishful thinking LOL just read the fine print it says one gift card per target circle account....Luckily I was able to grab a $500 gift card.com one before it disappeared.

@bbsearchlight had already mentioned not sure if limited to one per account.
The reason being even with the fine print of one per account has been stated previously we were able to go into the store and check out with multiple transactions and would continue to get the deals.

They have had that language many times in the past, and many times the system has still allowed you to purchase more than one even online (in separate transactions). Usually if it is a circle bonus that is auto applied, the system will allow you purchase it multiple times with the bonus, but if it is a circle bonus that you must activate it is generally limited to one per account.

Just another DP on the Shoprite GC's. I had the same issue when buying a Disney GC this week. No code on the receipt. Went to customer service. They said they didn't know why it didn't print and that they didn't have the code for next week, only the code from last week good for this week's groceries (I went first thing on Sunday when the new promo started). They said to bring in the receipt next week and get the code then. I am skeptical but have the receipt showing the price club membership and the ad so will try again then. Wanted to make sure the code from last week's $25 offer worked first before pushing it. Sure enough, my wife had an issue trying to redeem the code even though it was printed correctly. They had to get someone to force it through.

I'll head there Sunday to get the code from this week's GC purchase (good on next week's groceries). And only then buy a gift card for the next promotion starting on Sunday for $20 off the next week.

Sucks that they keep making this more labor intensive than it should be. My wife almost always has an issue redeeming even when the code prints properly. Now it appears there are issues just getting the code. Bummer.

Did I mention that my wife's digital coupons didn't come off for her entire recent order either? Customer service had to take care of it after she checked the receipt. They seemed aware of the issue as it was happening a lot. Seems like shoprite is having all kinds of system issues.

The issue with the gift cards seems to happen every time they run these promotions to some people and there is no rhyme or reason why. Two people can buy the same gift card 5 minutes apart and one will get the code printed and one won't.

One of the issues seems to be if the manufacturer sends a new batch of gift cards and it has a new UPC code which is not in the Shoprite system as a gift code. Which is why when I bought a One4All Ultimate last week, I bought the regular one and not the special holiday one which I figured had a good chance of not being in the system.

Again, if the code does not print, you are supposed to go to customer service and they are supposed to print the code on your receipt AND they also must add the offer onto your price plus card on their computer. Just writing the code will not work.

If you purchase the gift card on Sunday or Monday, sometimes they haven't received the weekly codes yet (they come in a booklet each week from the corporate office). However, by Tuesday the latest, they should have the codes for the week. I would never wait for the following week if it doesn't print - I would go back on Tuesday or Wednesday. By the following week, they probably will have thrown out the codes from the week before (contrary to what they told you).

Also, I had an issue one time where they hand wrote the code on my receipt and then went to a different ShopRite the following week and they didn't want to accept the handwritten code - so if they hand write the code it is probably best to use it at the same ShopRite the following week.

Yes. Considering iTunes is included and we have been able to do iTunes repeatedly as an auto applied discount in past sales I am hopeful we can do multiple DGC. I will be on at 3am ET buying :rotfl:

iTunes usually comes with a $15 on BF. Hoping we see that again too!

I noticed my store recently switched from an older DGC to a new kind where the cashier needs to pull off a strip to activate. I was scared, but they all triggered in the system.

I agree with returning to the store that hand wrote on your receipt if it comes to that. Much easier to redeem with the store that provided the recovery.

I got this one too. It's interesting. The terms only exclude target, visa, mc and amex gc. Guess I'll have to add a dis gc to my list for target today and make sure I hit at least 100.
My Disney gift card worked for the promo.

Am I the only person on the planet that didn't know you can turn your Rakuten cash back into a gift card? Well, if I'm not, SURPRISE - you can! AAANNNDD they have disney gift cards! So yesterday, I went ahead and turned my cash back into a Disney gift card. And bam, received it in my inbox immediately.
Soo, would you fine folks consider this be a 100% discount? I don't know about you, but that's how my math is mathin' lol:banana:

I usually redeem for cash and then use it to get another GC at a discount :)

Rakuten emails me near the pay date to advise that I can do the gift thing now rather than wait to be credited with actual money. Sometimes I do the gift card, sometimes I wait for the money. I will say, I don't recall the Disney GC option from the past and indeed their GC selections before now have been underwhelming. Maybe this is part of their response to that.

If you have a choice of getting cash or getting a gift card, I personally would take cash unless the gift card is discounted. As eticketplease said, you can take the cash and use it to buy a Disney gift card at Target with your redcard at 5% off even if it is not on sale anywhere else. The only advantage to getting the gift card is you get it maybe a week or two faster than the cash, I guess.

Would I consider that a 100% discount? That depends what you consider a discount or free and every person has a different way of looking at this.

A perfect example of this is there are numerous websites that tell you how you can go to DisneyWorld totally for free (I have linked to one of them below). Basically, the gist is you take out this credit card and use the sign up bonus to pay for the tickets and take out a second credit card and use the bonus to pay for the hotel, etc. However, most people (and myself) disagree that this would be considered a free Disney trip.

I work as a teacher, and I get a paycheck every 2 weeks for around $2500. I have 2 choices of what to do with that money, I could deposit it in my bank account or I could use it to buy $2500 in Disney gift cards. Now lets say I also earned $300 from Rakuten and I also have a choice, I could get $300 in cash and deposit it in my bank account or I could use it to get $300 in Disney gift cards. To me, in both cases I earned money (Yes, I earned them in different ways, but I did earn money in both cases). Why would the Rakuten be considered any different than the money I earned from my job? If my job offered me the option of getting $2500 in Disney gift cards instead of a paycheck, would it then be considered a 100% discount on the gift cards?

Again, this is just my way of looking at it.

Got my first circle bonus offer in months!

Any thoughts on whether the circle bonus will stack with the above Disney gift card offer?

That delay in the Target Circle bonuses was concerning. This new system looks fascinating.

Following up, my in store purchase that had 75 in dis gc did track. It says I have 97 left to the next 100 reward. Wondering now since it's cumulative if I could just get 400 in gc online or if it needs to be separate purchases. I won't go to the store again before the 22nd.

Yes, the last time they ran this same exact promotion (it was a few weeks ago), the Disney gift cards did count towards the bonus but it took several hours for the bonus to show as completed (while in the past, the bonus showed completed a few minutes later).

I don't think you really need to do it at exactly 3 AM, it is in the circular so it should be a good all week and Target has never run out of Disney egift cards in the past or limits the number of discounts like other stores.
