Just curious, was it just a deposit, or was the trip paid in full? I've never had it trigger based on just a deposit. Most of the wording on the offers seem to say the entire stay must be paid in order to qualify. Found this out the hard way once when I booked a separate one night stay instead of modifying an existing one to add a day. Sure enough, the one night stay immediately triggered the offer since the stay was completely paid, while the other longer one I intended to use the offer on did not.About 2 weeks ago I attempted to trigger a Westin offer on a WF card with a deposit for Swan. It didn't trigger. This mirrors what happened earlier in the month with a Chase Westin offer. Not sure if calling in to make a payment would trigger it or not.
My DPs were just the deposit, I didn't call any payments in. I don't think the Marriott offer would apply to Swan, but that's just my interpretation, I haven't watched DoC for DPs. Here is my existing dilemma given the feedback on the Swan not necessarily triggering Westin offer but seemingly triggering Autograph ones:
Card A: Autograph 10% $62 max as well as Marriott Hotels 10% $80 max
Card B: Marriott Hotels 10% $80 max
Card C: Westin 10% $62 max
1. Can I split payment across multiple cards and would each credit (assuming they trigger successfully)? Has anyone ever split the payment and gotten credits across two cards? Or is it possible neither would trigger since the payment wasn't done completely on one?
2. Do we think the Marriott offer applies to Swan? The wording from the offer "Earn 10% cash back on your Marriott Hotels stay". The link does not take me to the usual marriott.com website but to another specific Marriott resorts home page and I don't see Swan as an option in the Locations tab so I'm thinking not but wonder what people think or have had any experience.
3. If we don't think Marriott applies, and I can split payment to get two credits, I'll put some on Card A and the remainder on Card B.
4. If I can't split, would people agree that I have better odds with the Autograph offer on Card A than the Westin offer on Card C?
I know I actually got an unexpected credit for a stay at Swan when I had an Autograph offer and no Westin offer. Do we think Autograph is still being triggered by Swan and not Westin?
Thanks for any advice or help.
I’m still waiting to see if my JW Marriott triggers on the Disney Visa for 10% off Marriott Hotels. I’ll let everyone know if it does but right now it’s only been two days since my stay posted to the card.My DPs were just the deposit, I didn't call any payments in. I did this last year and paid last year’s amount. Then I just paid the rest in Dec/January when the actual dues came out.For those of you who use (discounted) Disney GC to pre-pay DVC Dues, what amount do you pay? Last year’s amount? Last year’s amount + 5%? (This what I have typically aimed to save for but as we know sometimes is more or less.) Some rounded amount above or below?
I had two rooms and charged each to a separate card.Thanks.
Do you have any experience splitting the payment on to multiple cards and still triggering the offer?
I don’t prepay anymore and just earmark them in my spreadsheet for dues. For those of you who use (discounted) Disney GC to pre-pay DVC Dues, what amount do you pay? Last year’s amount? I have three contracts and have used discounted DGCs to prepay $1,000 toward 2026 dues on two of them so far. Will prepay $1,000 on the third soon. I just keep the amount on a gift card until the dues statement and then pay it in December. For those of you who use (discounted) Disney GC to pre-pay DVC Dues, what amount do you pay? That's what I usually did in the past. This year, I am pre-paying as I get the cards. With the changes that were made recently, I worry that if I wait for the statement, they will want full payment and I won't be able to use the gift cards. ($1000 is the most you can put on one gift card). As of know, I will owe less than $1000 with what I already pre-paid, so I guess I can wait to pay the rest.I just keep the amount on a gift card until the dues statement and then pay it in December.

I’ve done the same for a few years, my concern this year is that we got another contract, and just a bit wary about leaving that much sitting on gift cards for so long. Plus reading into others recommendations to lower risk by pre-paying.That's what I usually did in the past. This year, I am pre-paying as I get the cards. I always make two split payments, each with a gift card. One for each of my contracts, since they total over $1000 together. That's what I usually did in the past. Yes. I always have done that. There was speculation earlier this year that going forward Disney will allow one payment only if not on auto-draft. No one really knows what will happen, so I am playing it safe this year and applying the gift cards as I accumulate them.I always make two split payments, each with a gift card. Heck, if you wanted to, you could be psycho and make a bunch of $0.01 payments.
Would I be able to buy two Disney $50 gift cards (online as my Target doesn't seem to stock them anymore) in two separate purchases, and the $10 reward should then post to my account
No, you cannot use circle rewards on gift cards. Only physical goods.(where I'll use it to purchase another gift card)?
OK, good to know. I don't really shop at Target, except for Disney cards, so even though I'd have a $10 credit, it's not going to help me with reducing the costs to go to Disney. Thanks. No, you cannot use circle rewards on gift cards. Only physical goods.
